Hi Caveman, I lovin the Orient ray ii , the time keeping is amazing about +1 sec a day during the first week. the bracelet is so comfortable and the blue dial is really class.
Bought it of Serious watches, great to deal with and just 219 Euro. Amazing value.

Saw this on eBay listed as Quartz and with really poor photos, thought I would make a cheeky offer which to my surprise got accepted! Timekeeping doesn't seem too bad so far so for 25GBP I'm quite pleased!

Andrea from Martu could be worth a shout; she's a pleasure to deal with. Is it 20 or 22mm as a matter of interest?

Picked up a very nice Seiko Orange Monster and immediately put it on an orange strap as a summer/holiday watch. I did look at the Isofrane but at near £100 decided a £12 strap from Watchgecko would look just as nice!

Love that - great choice and has made me think about being more open to strap colours I would not normally consider. That combination works really well.

This arrived today! I hadn't realised how fat the fonts were on the insert until I took the photograph. I think watches from this era are my sweet spot. Not blingy like the ceramics, but don't need babied like vintage sometimes do.

Nice. I got one a while ago and am waiting, impatiently, for a call from Rolex St James' Square to say the service is done.

A belated post of an incoming Speedy, with a HUGE box

Some may have noted my agonising over this, as the chrono hand didn't quite return exactly to 12, which set off my OCD but in the end I got over myself and kept it, so here's the unboxing.

I bought the watch from Iconic, who were very good - delivery was within a couple of days. Here's the big box it arrived in.

    L1020411.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    Then an inner box

    L1020412.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Then another box, this time the real one

    L1020413.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020414.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    Getting closer.....

    L1020415.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020417.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Finally here's the watch, and a plethora of accessories

    L1020419.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020423.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

The warranty was completed, and dated in March. I got this in April so lost a month of so of warranty.

The bracelet is nice, but I generally prefer straps so I sized it and removed it

This on a Steveo ostrich pattern, with a Hirsch deployant, which I think looks nice. Can't say it's a daily wear because I found I use a date on a watch much more than I realised, but it's great to have something different in an office full of subs and ceramic GMT's!

And just to get up to date, here's my Dreadnought!

Nicely packed in a mini pelicase

    L1020432.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    I love the second hand!

    L1020433.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Comes with the 2 screwdrivers needed for the screwed lugs and links

    L1020435.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

And the lovely, massive bracelet and a nice rubber strap too

    L1020436.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    It's a very formidable watch!

This is a new one for me... but i've actually just ordered a Tissot

Its one of the new MotoGP ones - the black and blue variant in the link below
    https://www.horologii.com/watch-bran...-watch-review/

It's pretty damn cheap and I'm strangely liking the aesthetic of it. It's probably going to look a little out of place next to my Breitlings, Rolexes and Oris' but I'm strangely excited about it nonetheless.

Another thinly disguised Seiko 7A38 ....

This Cartier Ferrari Formula Cal. 531, NOS condition, with box and tags arrived yesterday.

Obligatory wrist shot, after I'd replaced the original battery !

Very happy with this new acquisition via Dave (manxdiver).
Still deciding on which strap to go for, but this black waffle seems to work well for me.

    On the way to me........

This is on my wanted list for quite some time now and now I managed to snag one in awesome condition.
Just made the payment today and will be arriving within a couple of days.

Its the Citizen perpertual calendar chronograph, the much sought after blue dialed version.
If you want a watch in your collection that always shows the correct time, this is the one to get.
It's radio controlled and in sync with the atomic time clock.
Futher more it has so many features.
It's one of Citizens most finest watches, they have various models in this range but I just love a blue dial and also the square pushers and the signed crown. Not to forget the red accents on the gorgeous blue dial.
Can't wait to have it on the wrist.

Not my pics, credits go to the seller.
