BTW the Fraser Hart in Kingston said they are getting a lot more Sports models come in now. This was when I spoke with them yesterday
Many years ago they had a stainless steel Daytona in the window (the Rolex window) and when I ran in to buy it was told it was already 'spoken for' but then was informed that I could have one immediately for £5000 (told you it was a long time ago), I declined and went off grumbling.
In retrospect selling over rrp doesn't upset me anything like it did then but i found the sheer oily bravado of the manager unpleasant and rather unsettling at the time.

Was in Charles Fox in Bournemouth today and they had two sub dates in the window - both bi-metal,steel and gold - one with a black face and the other with a blue (both £9900). They also had 3 precious metal daytonas, none with prices displayed.
Asked about a ss sub date and the woman said their waiting list was 1 year....
In Meloneras (Gran Canaria) and both Rolex shops have the date and non date subs. Was here the same time last year and they both had them as well as BLNR’s in each back then.
Haven’t checked the prices and there’s the import cost as well I guess, as well as a ropey euro rate but supply is better than blighty.
Fraser Hart in MK had a GMT LN on Thursday. I'm starting to see them in windows more and more recently.

Edit - think there is a special status and not in the customs union.... so guess I am probably wrong.

Yeah as they are not part of the trade arrangement they are classed as buying outside the EU so import duties apply.
Prices will be shocking there!!! ...and that's before the VAT.

Well, it seems to me that you are the obsessed type in this exchange. Mentioning my real name in every post is a bit creepy, isn't it? Not that my identity is a secret, I have used the same forum handle for many years and on many fora and a quick online research will return my full name and quite some of my background. The same cannot be said about you, you make every effort to hide your true identity. Back to the topic, a 2017 SS and Gold SkyDweller with white dial in Doha Duty Free earlier this week, and the same model in WOS Perth (Oz). Seems to be following me around! $15k for it in Doha. Back through tonight so will take a look for something a little more elusive.

Can't Rolex just pause on making the Milgauss and Explorers and make a few more Daytonas and BLNRs.... that would make a lot of people happier, they would sell more watches and give them a chance to sell existing stock..

And the explorer, whilst more readily available than the most sought after models, is not a particularly common sight in AD windows either.

Over the past two weeks, I have visited two different cities and two different Jewellers, both of whom had an Explorer 1 in the window.
When I enquired about them, I was told that they had arrived that week, in what they expected to be the last shipment from Rolex, until the New Year.
Exp 2 black and white for 5k at LHR T3. 20 mins to decide!
