Cool Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo "Extra Thin"

I picked up this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo "Extra Thin" in yellow gold with fumé petite tapisserie dial from the AP boutique a few days ago.

Now that sir is one stunning watch. 39mm and thin as well! Out of my reach unfortunately, but I'm glad that someone is enjoying it.

If anyone ever wondered how AP make their 'petite tapisserie' dials take a look here. https://www.watchcollectinglifestyle...ow-theyre-done
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Can you imagine my disappointment when I saw the photos and not a single bright orange dial to be seen.... :-)

Superb! what’s it like on the wrist? I fear I’d have to cash in most of my collection to get that one and build up a relationship with my local AP dealer? Did you have to wait long to pick it up?

Anyway - that is beyond superlative. I do hope you get a lot of enjoyment wearing it!

    regards. Martyn

These are fantastic, AP really does excel at the fume dials and this one is perfect imo.

    Fantastic pick up. Enjoy.

What’s the chance of the price being ‘extra thin’ as well 😂

    Beautiful watch!

    Thanks all :)

To answer the above Qs, it wears extremely well on the wrist. I'm more used to the slightly larger and thicker 15500 etc, so this feels more delicate. Due to this it does not feel so heavy, despite being gold.

I waited over 2 years for it, from the New Bond St boutique. They have been super to deal with.

That looks rather special indeed, I'm not usually a fan of gold watches but that is very nice.
Come on though JasH we need a pic of that in a Mclaren F1's engine bay
