And there was a phase posting contents of pockets. This is a blast from the past - what old tech!

At first glance, I saw that as a wrist shot and thought to myself that's taking the inking/tattoo a bit far

On top of a fence post seems a popular option especially if you are selling the watch.

The other one is books and I'll admit to doing that myself.

I've seen other's pictures with leather bound Dickens which always put me in mind of this scene.

Then of course there's the pictures that are supposed to signal how important you are in your professional life.

    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Not so prevalent on TZ-UK. Probably because many of the Porsche owners manage to tell everyone they have a Porsche in threads, where there is no need to do so.

I am with you on the wine and watches. Helps to convey you are not a wage slave who has to work for a living. Nothing more boring than a wrist shot with a desk or keyboard.

A lack of Rolex outdoors pics indicates that the investors don’t like to wear one outside of the house.

    Crikey!

Is this is what happens when you go to buy a watch in a darkened pub and accidentally have a second half pint?

    Asking for a friend.

I will admit to having tried that one once or twice, many years ago - not my best effort.

    This one was slightly better:

Another from the Winter of January 2013:

We should have a dishonourable mention of wingtsun and the day date on dog poo photo.

If I recall correctly, this was outside Waitrose in Twickenham the day after a Varsity match.

I don't have a matching 'photo, and if I did, I wouldn't post it for taste and decency reasons, but surely The Human Wrist That Is So Hirsute It Needs To Be Shaved to show off its owner's Rolex (it's always a Rolex, usually a DSSD...) deserves a Special Mention here? I mean - dial it back testosterone boy - or at least use the 'blur' function in Photoshop...

  37. #87
Anything ‘edc’ which is always a bit Walter Mitty imho. And whilst I find Adrian Barker on his Bark and Jack you tube channel mildly irritating, his wielding of a coffee cup in a faux casual ‘hey it’s just us friends chatting watches’ makes my teeth itch!
I do remember when the Orange Monster was a £99 WIS thing, lots of photos atop citrus fruit - which actually worked rather well!
