Great to know. I’d be tempted to try the Holzer bracelet on mine, as it’s relatively close to the engineer style IWC one.

Then again, I love my XVI on a leather strap.

I really like the improvements they’ve made to the line but the grey SPB143 and the LE SPB149 were better looking, IMO.

    Which watch for first date.

Speedie. Classy. Versatile. Not too flashy.

I’m sure the date won’t hinge on the watch, good luck!

The thought of spending £4-5K on a watch was unfathomable and the Aqua Terra was the ultimate watch for me. It took me about 5 years to buy one. It immediately felt a bit thick. It still does....

Agree but a little larger than a pro, so likely less appealing to a portion of the audience.

I can relate with the OP’s sentiment.

    I’m also a bit bored.

I’ve got a few nice pieces, entry level offerings from mid tier Swiss brands like omega, IWC. A couple of higher end models from...

I plan to. I’ve thought about posting a photo when the time comes but frankly, I suspect I’ll feel too self conscious to be standing in a pool with a phone in my hand taking a picture of my wrist...

I didn’t want to get into it with the guy in the shop. I just assumed he didn’t understand and accepted his recommendation to go elsewhere

Just an update on this: I took it to Timpsons: they said they could only test to 100m. I said that was fine as I was only looking to get the watch wet not go deep sea diving. They refused.

Frankly, I’d rather have the swatch fifty fathoms and keep a grand in my pocket

It’s a lovely looking thing, to be sure but they need to change the bezel insert to something that doesn’t scratch so easily (could be the printing process), stick some slightly larger, applied dial...

I think TAG has come a long way in the last few years. People love to hate them but their recent output is ok in my book. I’d happily pick up one of these (at the right price).

I thought these watches look better in photos than in person. I was pretty shocked by the quality, when I handled one.

I think a £1k seiko diver is a better proposition though.

Neither look good to me but if I was in the market, as others ave said, I’d get a used zenith defy at the same price as the CW and pocket the change

Oosh! If I had a million pounds to quit the hobby, I’d still buy that. You can keep your Langes, FP Journe and holy trinity, here’s a beautiful, everyday watch for the ages.

I always thought this watch looked cool.

16mm thick though and it’s not exactly affordably priced. I’m not sure these two factors are sufficiently well explained in the link. I presume they’re...

I keep hoping they’ll release that in a smaller form, much as they have for the LLD and the spirit collection. Then again, its size may well be crucial to its design

I didn’t realise you meant the old model.

The current one is more expensive.

Yeah but… the SO44 is £4450, on the bracelet. 10% off puts it at the same price as the Tudor, and it has an SW200. Which is fine, if you plan to get it serviced independently, but if you’re buying...

Tasty. I’m not sure I can do a 7750/7753 again, it’s just so thick! I’ve seen a couple of sellita clones with a handwind modification. This is the way forward as far as I’m concerned

Personally, I’d be going for a Cartier Tank Solo XL automatic.

It doesn’t have the same horological chops as a JLC but IMO it’s a better looking watch than any Reverso and it should be easier and...
