Just back from my Grandson's cup final.
I was absolutely fried!
They lost 4-2 in an exciting game but the heat did have an adverse effect on some players.
Not football weather at all.

Back in the day when I had my tuning firm it was all Lucas pumps and metering units.
They didn't seem to last all that long and were very expensive.
Glad there is an alternative nowadays.
Beautiful cars - yours looks handsome.
Our house is south facing too.
Dot has been frying herself!

I might well do.
Shardlake is actually a hunchback in the books. I like the sweep of the stories with real historical characters involved.
Absolutely glorious here today. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky.
Spent a hour weeding the garden and it got pretty warm!
They've made a series featuring CJ Sansom's 16th century lawyer?
I love the books but I don't think I would watch a TV series on them TBH.
I know a lot of watch freaks and none of them (including me) have ever owned a Bremont.
Evelyn Waugh's Sword of honour trilogy.
A man of taste!
Lovely this morning and looking good for this week with temperatures in the 20's. :encouragement:
That's lovely!
They're great, have one myself. Purchased new in 1989.
They are very well thought of. Some great sounds to be had.
Blimey Unc you don't do things by half do you?
Glad it is nothing horrible but it must have been frightening at the time.
Watching my Grandson's match this morning it was very sunny and warm (they are now through to the cup final) has clouded over since just after lunch.
Forecast doesn't look too good tomorrow though...
Did a boot sale with the wife this morning near Epsom.
An absolute cloudless sky and beautifully warm. Pretty hot at times, should have bought the sun screen!
That awful hackneyed hand partially in the pocket (selvedge of course! :playful:) flashing the watch is beyond the pale IMO.
Went for a walk to the cafe for a coffee this morning with the Mrs - dry but not warm.
The weekend doesn't look too great. We are doing a boot sale tomorrow morning at Epsom which looks dry until...
Only sold stuff to him but Alex is a top man.
Yep, a dead giveaway.
Beautifully warm and sunny today.
Took Dot out and then did some work on the mower.
Wife went to the local garden centre for coffee and natter with her pals.
Hope it gets sorted.
The file blade was broken on my old Leatherman. Sent it back, file replaced and whole unit cleaned FOC.
Yes indeed.
The old creosote penetrated and protected the wood.
Today's stuff in not much better than emulsion that simply lies on the surface and gets virtually washed away after a season.
Not in my experience.
Nothing to do with people in the room. Most bids at specialist sales like watches etc are by people who leave bids or bid on the phone or net.
A lot of unusual stuff would...
Can only agree with Paul.
The dial is the most important part of the watch to me and that looks badly aged.
The wear through of the gold capping shows the hard life as they are usually 80...
Glad you got out at the right time mate.
All the best.
Simon at WOK can be a bit flexible on charges if it is something he really wants in the sale but it's got be unusual. He may also buy from you to put in his own auctions later.
I may be shoving...
