    Panerai

Request a service box and post to them. Service is slick and turnaround about 3-4 weeks currently

I’d give century watch repairs in Stevenage a shout. Haven’t used them for servicing but they polished my Rolex skydweller and it came back like new. They seem to have good feedback on here from others too.

Whilst there I was speaking to Alistair (who I believe is the owner) and was told they are on track to becoming an approved Richemont (so Cartier, IWC, Panerai, etc) servicer…now whether that is providing additional capacity to the official service centre or being publicly labelled as richemont approved I don’t know but they should be more than capable of serving your watch.

    Agree with Kerry.

I looked at all sorts of independents when I recently had my 176 serviced. It needed some additional work, which no one else could access parts, in particular the parts I needed. At least going back to Panerai the work will come with a warranty, if it does require any parts, Panerai will have them.

Luxury Watch Repairs are a Panerai specialist service centre. Prestige Time Services are highly recommended too.

I've always found them cheaper than the actual manufacturers service prices. That's the important bit.

Both have fantastic customer feedback but PTS are always my first choice.

From Experience cheap is not important when it transpires CNC fake parts are used or swopped out.

Stick to Panerai and also gives you good paperwork and audit trail for the watch moving forward.

You’ll forget about the cash, but you’ll never forget a bad experience

I didn't actually say the word "cheap". I did say the word "cheaper". There is a vast difference in this context.

I've never had a Panerai serviced. Any Panerai I've purchased used from a deal has been dealer serviced prior to purchase via Watchfinder.

I've never had a bad experience, thankfully.

The bases of my response was on a service I had on my Zenith Pilot GMT. Zenith quoted me a £1000 mechanical service cost on an Elite 693 calibre, 26 jewel movement which I found totally unrealistic. It was £1250 including a new OEM crystal!

My PTS service cost on that mechanical movement was £550 and they have a pretty good reputation as I'm sure you know. :-) Still not cheap but definitely cheaper than the Zenith (LVMH) quote.

I specifically mentioned PTS and LWR as they also service Panerai's. Based on your response, I take it that these two companies don't have a good reputation when it comes to Panerai CNC fake parts, or are your comments just a general consensus on non Panerai servicing issues?
