    Rolex 114300 Lume

I recently picked up a 114300 with rhodium grey dial .its a 2018 watch but the lume is green .Reading online this seems to be common that the lume can be either blue or green but I understood that Rolex changed their lume material in 2012 and all Lume after that should be blue.

Anyone else have this watch that can tell me the lume colour?

When I owned a black dial 114300 purchased new it had green lume, I think its only the new OP models that have the blue lume.

If this helps - I had a 114060 in 2013. This had blue lume

And a 214270 in 2016 which was also blue

and this one from 2020 (126655) is also blue. Is it range (Professional) specific?

Yes I’m finding both seem to have been used , there’s some YouTube videos and google images showing blue lume And also a lot of google images showing green lume.

I thought Rolex moved from Super Luminova (green) to Chromalight (blue) in 2008?
But it was a gradual process across models, new models got the Chromalight straightaway, others when the model was upgraded, there was quite an overlap I think.

I thought it was only the professional range that had the blue lume (Chromalight) until around 2019 when it was introduced to the DateJust and more recently OP models but stand to be corrected.

You could well be right, I have never had a DJ or OP.

I can tell you the white and black OP39 have green lume and they’re 2018 ish. It was probably the only (incredibly) minor thing I didn’t like about them. The new 41s have changed over to blue.
