I had a Skx007 for years. This is probably a better watch and these days cheaper!

With all the Seiko activity recently I had almost forgotten this bad boy from a recent SC pick up, it is now my new motorcyling watch.
I was on another forum recently that had a thread about the Citizen Calibre 2100. I hadn't seen much about them until then and it looked really nice to me.
I decided to take to plunge for one and I am very impressed by the quality of it. It also looks fantastic!
A rather funky but chunky, new offering from Citizen, the titanium BN0227-09L. It's going to wear big, but I think it's attractive.

This thread prompted me to dig out my Citizen Eco Drive GMT. Owned from new at some point in the mid 90s. Spent most of that time in a drawer. Took it off the bracelet and popped it onto a nato.

It’s spent a few hours under a torch and seems to be running ok.
I really like these and used to own the 800m model which has the same hands as this reissue but has the 1300m style case of the early 90’s model. Despite the size, they’re super-light being titanium. The date window is perhaps a little too small but the accuracy of mine is amazing having not gained or lost a second in a month. Lume’s great too.
Cheers

Citizen NB1050, arrived a couple of weeks ago and I love it.

My other JDM Citizen, I’ve had this for about 10 years.

Good afternoon all!
I took a hiatus from the watch collecting hobby for a while following a relationship breakdown, house break-in (12 watches stolen) and significant personal challenges I was dealing with. Over the past few years, I have treated myself to a few watches here and there, but, recently, after a visit to Hawaii that saw me pick up my old protrek for the ocean, I replaced that with a new Protrek and this reignited the horology hobby for me!
Anyway, having been out of the hobby for several years, man, have things got expensive! I cringe at how inexpensive SMP's were and the ability to actually buy a Rolex approx. 10 years ago...., after the house break-in, I am / was concerned about the value of some of the watches that I had / wore and decided to take a different approach to my hobby. I have always been a fan of Citizen, not only for the value they represent, but also for their approach in designing and manufacturing the machines to make their own watches. I feel more engaged with my hobby when I can actually wear the watches I have, however, several of these simply hide away in the safe haha.
So without further ado, here's my collection of Citizen watches.... I have gone a little nuts and there are few more that I would like to add to the collection:
Titanium Ecozilla
Altichron Cirrus
BN0177
I think that's it....

As my eyes slowly get worse I am really starting to appreciate this bad boy. Nice uncluttered dial, large hands and markers and on a Nato rather than the bracelet.
This is one of my favourites these days, as you can se from the beating its taken!
£133 - are you going to get a better beater for this money? Nope.

Some of mine. The corrugated dial Newmaster has a good caseback too
This gets more wear than its rare appearances in the Friday thread would suggest -
'Duratect' hardened steel case + solar quartz + plus low-key sage green dial = a winner for my tastes.
Picked it up from 'Dutyfreeislandshop' back when these models were abundant for just £187! Bargain of the year.
Personally think they're a bit of a Mickey Mouse brand

Definitely under-rated.

Royal marines commando, titanium cases diver. Really nice watch, bezel and hands line up perfectly and bezel action is superb.
Really nice 2 colour lume on the RMC as well.
Love myself a real Citizen tool dive watch :)

Bit of info here

I’ve had a few of these (for me they wear a little small)they were only in production for a few years - not sure if the serial # could help
I don’t think they are the same as Seikos
I think that’s the slightly later PMU56-2373 AP0600-01E

Could possibly think it was a September 2005?
Edit
That said the article says this
Ray Mears Promaster Tough has given his name to the 7828-H09971TA, it being seen as he wore it often in his outdoor TV shows, as it was a titanium cased, bombproof, rugged, outdoor, watch. It was labelled Promaster, Tough.
I’d also had this one - and a Robert Swan

My initial thoughts were 2005 too.
Looks like you've had a few of these :)
Thanks for your input, lewie
Had this since 1986, suffered some damage when I crashed my motorcycle - I should see about getting it repaired really
And this is just a bit of fun!
Duratect titan, 200m wr, sapphire glass, radio controlled - accurate, eco drive - solar, perpetum calendar, independent hr hand, some 10-11mm thick, sporty and elegant, ... , is this the ultimate GADA / EDC category ?
What he said, but blue
