Watches you wished were made

Now in the correct section

As per the title, but not along those lines of hot sports models you wish were at retail & available.

But more along the lines of brands & models that are currently available, but with some minor tweak that you wish were in production.

A few of the top of my head:

Panarai to make either a base 42mm or 40mm version of the iconic 372 (47mm 1950s case they made & not the 390 which people often think is a smaller version).

Omega Seamaster, current edition but sans HE valve & no date. I could live with the sword sea through hands.

Omega Speedmaster Pro - just give it 100m and make people feel more comfortable about swimming with it.

Tudor Pelagos 39 Date. Perfect daily wear.

Tudor Black Bay 58 S&G GMT Root Beer. Perfect dimensions for a reasonably priced true GMT.

Grand Seiko Titanium Spring Drive GMT. Basically a Mistflake without power reserve indicator and a slimmer case.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo with micro adjustment-I would have kept mine if it had it.
Chopard Alpine Eagle with no date, a tapering bracelet and micro adjustment.

Automatic speedy pro with 100m water resistance and quick release bracelet removal. Might not suit NASA spec but i’d love it.

Omega SM 300 1960s reissue - the one with Sword Hands but with modern ceramic bezel, bracelet etc.

Black Bay 58 Pepsi GMT on Tudor jubilee.

Grade 5 Titanium Sub with blue bezel and gloss black dial.

I've been waiting years for a 38-39mm NO DATE IWC pilot. I am not interested in one with the date. I try to look at the bright side - if they never make one it saves me a few thousand bucks.

I hear you. Flieger style with a date is just wrong.

A massive YES to both of these. I once sat in a WF showroom for an hour while they tinkered with the bracelet on a Finissimo and we never got a decent fit. More recently, I sold my beautiful Alpine Eagle to Subdial for the same reason.

I spoke to the LF rep about why their Sport Auto doesn't have micro-adjustment and he said it was for aesthetic reasons. I don't mind a chunky clasp if the blood supply to hand my isn't cut off or my watch isn't flapping around.

Bring back the Glashutte Sport Evolution!

A Pepsi Tudor GMT 39mm with t-fit.

A 39mm VC Overseas steel.

A blue steel Sub.

A Panerai with a proper second hand. I hate their small second subdials.

Completely agree. Often wish my XII didn't have a date. I could do without the second hand as well.

A GP Laureato Infinity 38 (Onyx dial, no diamonds!)
Overseas 38mm, ultra-thin - or at least reasonably thin, but men's, not a unisex model with a dainty bracelet.
Overseas ultra-thin in stainless steel and not just gold
Something like a GS SBGW257 (1960 recreation dress watch / 1st GS) that's not a special edition made in unobtainium, just the right dial at the right price.
A GS SBGV223 (40mm 9F) with an 'interesting' dial, without breaking the bank. The recent blue dial with red second hand SBGP007 was the right idea but the colour scheme was a bit Superman, GS should be more committed to making special 9Fs and not fall into the trap of treating them as entry level and saving the good dials for mechanical / spring drive watches.
On which note - a 10F perpetual, they're letting Citizen get ahead

From me, a new 164.024, with modern build quality, sapphire crystal or lumed ceramic bezel, Broad sword hands, big triangle dial, in 42mm and not stupidly thick.

A modern 666 Seadweller would also be nice. Get rid of the carbuncle, reduce the size to 40mm and lose the white gold surrounds around the lume plots.

Tudor BB Pro' 42/3mm would be extending my non expenditure on watches. Love it to bits, but at 39mm, just too small on my wrist.

I reckon they’ll release an omega x swatch scuba 164.024 and then 18 months later there will be a proper reissue.

Very specifically, a Panerai luminor in all polished stainless steel case, black sandwich dial, date complication, automatic or 8 day movement. Prefer marina but that wouldn't be a deal breaker.
Nearest I have seen is 104, which lacks only the sandwich dial.

A new zenith tri colour with the original off white/silvery dial and the true white cigarette hand, so you can actually read the thing.

Rolex range (any) without the Cyclops.

A normal speedmaster pro with hesalite in the smaller FOIS case.

Rolex 124060 with a blue or green bezel instead of black. Perfection.
