Ball Engineer III Outlier GMT - Show us yours

I have been looking for a traveler's GMT that goes under the radar, and narrowed it down to the Longines Zulu Time or the Ball Engineer II Outlier GMT. The Zulu Time is readily available from any high street dealer, I have only seen the Ball on line.
I decided to go for the Ball for something a bit different, it has some impressive stats.

Automatic BALL Manufacture caliber RRM7337-C
Chronometer certified COSC
904L S Steel
Micro Gas Tubes on Dial and Hands
5,000 Gs Shock resistance
Water Resistance 200m
Antimagnetic 1,000 Gause
40mm Diameter
Ceramic Bezel with SuperLuminova numerals

It also has a Cyclops witch has always been a Marmite sort of thing.

It is currently running at +1 second per day overall I am very pleased with this watch.

Only down sides for me is the bracelet butterfly clasp and PSL's (Ball taking advantage of the 904L to hold a high polish). I will probably wear it on rubber or NATO to tone down the bling.

Ball upset all their dealers by selling directly to the customer so you are not going to find them at dealers. The actual watches are ok if a bit quirky and if you like the style I am all for them.

Love this watch, white face would be my preference, but sadly 40mm tad to small for me. Would snap one up in 42mm though.

Not a fan of the bracelet either, but that is otherwise a damn fine looking watch and actually somewhat restrained for Ball; big fan of the H3 tubes too - that all-night glow makes particular sense on a GMT - enjoy :encouragement:

Does the OP realise the 24 hrs hand is bang on 13:00 hrs and the hands are 15mins behind. Or is it the camera angle?

Just a bit of distortion I suspect, I did check it out on the hours when I set it, seems ok.

It's not actually bang on the 13:00 hrs marker on the bezel Neal.

The 13:00 hrs position for the GMT hand (as shown) is directly between the 32 minute and 33 minute markers. Every minute marker on a GMT dial (for the GMT hand) denotes 24 minutes. Every 5 minutes on the dial therefore denotes two hours.

The hands on this rather nice Ball Engineer are therefore spot on.

Sorry Guys, a couple of poor lumeshots. The SuperLuminova on the bezel overpowers the gas tubes, but check the time in the middle of the night and they really pop.

I'd love to stick one of these on a tee and smack it with a 5 Wood.

It's not that I don't think that Ball's maths is correct, it's more that a one metre fall onto a hard wood surface doesn't on the face of it appear to experience the same shock as a driven golf ball, but the Gs quoted are about the same and therefore it should be a decent test (especially of the 10k models).

Love these! Nearly bought a white version over Christmas in the Jura sale, but decided I’d prefer the black dial. I assume the build quality is excellent?
