Was browsing and noticed Mike has a MilSub listed on his website for a 'very significant price tag' (the tease..!)
Also a couple of Comex models.

If you were in that league it’s got to be better than a Jacob & Co.
I like Mikes description of the 5517 , where the owners father has had a bash at removing the fixed bars in order to fit a bracelet. I bet at the time he thought he was doing his son a favour and upgrading the watch.
Thanks for this...
...Wasn't aware of theoldwatchshop.
Off to pass some time drooling over those special subs =)
Some serious watches there.
Is this another signal that the market is topping out?
Wow lush!
The Comex below it is 200k so who knows what very significant means ! I’d like all 3 of them !
Reasonable price on the Explorer 1.
I like how they've styled the website in a vintage feel, takes me back to the 90's.
Would you be so kind as to say what Jedly’s instagram account name (handle?) is? I’m not on instagram but would consider creating an account to see his watches. I bought my 5513 off him over 10 years ago.

This ugly old thing?

Don't fix what ain't broke. :-)
If selling what Mike is selling, I'd happily introduce a brand new website in that exact style. Why? Because it works perfectly. Modern JS and CSS affectations add nothing of value for such a site.
The Rolex site is an utterly appalling mess, as a counter-example.
But then I'm practical, not old. :-)
Wow! That is gorgeous. Very interesting reading up on it. If i had one i’d never dare wear it.

Did have a look at a small part of his collection a few years ago and it was something special.
It’s an almost 70 year old watch , only a few hundred were made in 1954 and it is the first of the big crown submariners , it’s known as the ‘king sub ‘ and for many vintage rolex collectors it’s the pinnacle of Submariner collecting , it really isn’t, there are rarer things for sure but it is very special
To find one full stop is rare , to find one in great original condition like this makes it one of only a handful known in the world .
The quarter Arabic 369 dial is the only design that was used on 6200 , and after that it was only used sparingly on Submariners , seen on a few 6538 early subs , a handful of small crown subs , some specialist military dial subs , and then later in the 1960’s on a some small batches of crown guard submariners for the uk markets .
