I am I mad of thinking of doing this? Or is it too much hassle with a composite garden room? The cabin builder says it’s possible but will have to be a side flue and not straight up and through the rubber roof.
I kind of like the idea of small burning fire in the colder months and I have a source of wood. But I’m wondering is it worth the expense of install and any potential damage/ risk to the garden room.
Has anyone gone this route of just stuck with an electric oil heater?
Run an armoured cable from the house and have electric underfloor ?

Electric floor heating is very expensive in use. It takes a long time to heat the room to a certain temperature. Especially in a room that's not used for living all the time. The main problem with the wood burning stove it to get the flue through the wall, roof etc AND making sure it's fireproof. I can find the picture anymore (I think it's on Pinterest) of a flue inside a sort of metal pillar so that looks as a part of the garden room, all in one.

Small woodburner with a side exit through the wall - seems sensible and cost-effective.
Anything electric and especially underfloor - is bonkers.
Fit a CO alarm as well, and a permanent vent of some sort.
Before you know it - you'll be having winter drinking sessions in there, with your big TV on Youtube vids, a fridge, and tree lights around the outside.
I can’t see why it it can’t be fitted to go through a roof using the correct flashing kit and distance to combustibles. Is it a standard ( A) pitched roof or flat with a slight pitch?Quote:

So woodburner it is ( solid fuel stove for the more eloquent)

Side exit flue, fire guy said it will be fine. He also said the is a hatch so you can sweep it yourself- winner.
