DLC / PVD coating, preferably in UK

I know that this subject has been aired before but the term DLC or PVD is too short for the search function. Also, there may be something more recent that would be helpful.
I have a couple of projects in mind. The first is one of my Heuer Pasadenas that was seriously scruffy before I bought it and has gotten worse over the years. It's time for a service anyhow and a refinish of the case, new crystal etc would be highly desirable. The second is a long held hankering for a black Speedy Pro and I happen to have a spare case in my parts box, so it seems a no brainer.
The question is, does anyone know of a facility, preferably in the UK, that does this type of work? Any advice appreciated.

The thread above contains a nicely coated Seiko by Tempus and the price ~ £120 seems very reasonable.

You really need a PVD vendor thats experienced at coating watches, you could try Ionbond, I had better PVD work done overseas some years ago.

Thanks. I had looked at their website but I think a minimum of £900+20% vat is a bit rich for a Pasadena. It would make no economic sense.

Thanks Bry. Do you still have any contact details of where you had work done in the past? I've done a bit of research online and, apart from Garrick, the only UK processors I've found specialise in industrial/tool work.

Wallwork in Cambridge I believe did some coating for Bremont. I guess the watch would have to be stripped and sent to them. It might be worth a phone call.

Last time I checked, Wallwork were charging about £800 for a DLC treatment of a full watch.
Never had anything done, but they do components for more watch companies than just Bremont

I tried contacting the Tempus lot in the TZ thread referred to above (for cerakoting), no reply at present, so perhaps they are no longer taking work.

Hi Dave, I will check out Wallwork and see what they say. Re. cerakoting, I had looked at Moto City Watch Works (Detroit obviously) for an old, scruffy LeJour but ended up re-casing it into a similar style case/bracelet from an eBay seller. I still intend to get the original LeJour case refinished though and cerakoting seems to be closer to whatever was used originally than PVD. Certainly, as least some of the LeJour (including a few I have had and some Orfina PD too) had a thicker finish more prone to flaking or chipping than simply wearing through. Still loving your Orfina PD btw.

Yep DLC can be expensive, word has it some European brands were DLCd overseas so not in Europe..

He’s better with comms in some formats than others - and does very good quality work
