Well, at least the second part of the quote is true! What a total low-life.

It’s interesting how much more I have found out since starting this thread. Bob really has made a career out of ripping people off and selling dishonest goods whether they are watches or cars....
A very dishonest and unpleasant individual

I do indeed mean Robert ‘bob’ long from Bungay Norfolk who is the owner of the earliest Mini Cooper and numerous dubious Tudors including a Tudor Monte Carlo
Fascinating; over the years, as a journalist, I occasionally met the ‘Bob’ type. Fluent, charming, initially convincing, relentless. Thing is, nothing seems to put them off, they will keep lying, whatever happens. Very hard to deal with...you just need to keep away. Real trouble.
I’ve just realised..there’s a bunch of them pushing ‘Brexit.’
One can't help but wish that Robert 'Bob' Long of Bungay encounters a tasty type on his shady travels. One who may be less inclined to seek peaceful legal recourse in their desire to rectify his shenanigans.
Well done on outing this guy, this is the first time I've read through and to see it unraveling is quite the story, what a slippery p.o.s
Still anyone googling Robert long and fake will get quite an eye opener. Good work people.
How does he still have 100% positive feedback on eBay?
I can tell you exactly how:
He lists something with clear contact details to contact him where he’s listing dodgy crap like the Tudor therefore dealing outside of Ebay.
His feedback is based on stuff he sells which is actually legit
I would also say if it hadn’t been for Jason I would have still be feeling for him, he’s that good a scam merchant!
They guy has spent a life time deceiving people and manipulating them, scamming them to amass a fortune that he will never really enjoy as he’s clearly a bitter and lonely old man

True; but everything is connected. Whatever happens will have real effects on our hobby.
Anyway, whatever term is used, these major liars are a problem; however I don’t think there are lots of them.
The people I’ve dealt with on SC have all been straight and honest. Quite reassuring really.
Is this chap (Robert 'Bob' Long of Bungay) any relation to Joan Collins' intérêt amoureux Bungalow Bill? Asking for a friend.
Possibly one and the same but it is definitely Robert “Bob” Long of Bungay, Norfolk, occasionally Suffolk (depending on which map you’re reading). Fine upstanding pillock of the community, that has the worlds oldest original, registered in 1982 though, Mini Cooper S (Fake) and a genuine Ford Escort Mexico with original bill of sale (Fake) that could be a 1300GT. He also has a fine Tudor Monte Carlo (also Fake).
He’s never been found guilty in court of selling fake watches, but did allegedly lose his business (Antique Dealers) through trying to avoid paying car parking fines levied by parking eye, these too were possibly fake.
He’s a lovely old boy that is thoroughly misunderstood and definitely not an attention seeking weasel. That’s a lovely fake Tudor Monte Carlo Watch a real Little Gem
Morning Bob. Nice to see you're checking the comments. TZUK the elephant of the watch world, we never forget.
Just to confirm that Robert 'Bob' Long of Bungay is no relation to Joan Collins' intérêt amoureux Bungalow Bill.
Rest easy, friends.
Old thread but I saw this listed in Norfolk . Any relation ?

I've asked him who's the trusted seller he bought it from.
Asking £8.5k with three shitty pics. La la.
EDIT: Does The Fine Watch Club, Norwich, mean anything to anyone?

It's all starting to make sense now. The people making such a fuss about the Tudor (ahem) watches sold by Robert 'Bob' Long of Bungay, Norfolk are just racists. They can't stand it that a white man in Britain has, despite the prejudice he's faced since birth, been able to build a successful business selling snide watches.
Bob Long: “I used to be black, but I’m all white now” :highly_amused:
He must have contacted the paper to get this story out. Incredible he would do that and incredible they would publish it.
There were darker-skinned people than him in Hitler Youth!
About an hour ago and less than 12 hours since my post #178 above, one of my shops received a one star review on Google.
"Nigel Savagery" added the comment : "Wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him"
"Mr Savagery" has left a couple of other reviews, both for businesses not far from Bungay.
"Mr. Savagery" has also taken a photograph of a Domino's pizza, not far from Bungay.
It couldn't be that "Mr. Savagery" is a

...could it ? It certainly seems to be someone (geographically if not in some other sense) close to Bob / Victor.
I know of no client called "Nigel Savagery," indeed no client from that part of the world and I don't expect to have a genuine client from that part of the world, never mind one with cause to leave a review such as he did.
Waddle. Quack. Feathers.
As we all realised back in 2018, what a small minded bitter old man he really is........
"It was all one big lie."
Fake watches, fake racism, fake reviews, it's all of a piece. But "Nigel Savagery"...? If he wanted to anonymously impugn Haywood's reputation he could at least have used a pseudonym that was something like a name a real person might actually have. It's almost as if Robert 'Bob' Long of Bungay, Norfolk is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Either that or he wanted Haywood to know it was him. I guess he knows better by now than to come onto this forum swinging, so this is probably the best he can do to express his aggression. Pretty feeble, really.
I wonder if Bob Long paid the seller of the Mini anywhere near the £50k he thinks it's worth for it?
Understandable that he'd be triggered by that terrible story about the royals contemplating the shade of Archie's complexion. It's very upsetting to think of all the white privilege the lad will be missing out on, because he's black.

“I have got the heritage certificate with its unique body number so I know this is the real deal – you can’t fake that.”
Are you sure Bob? [emoji23][emoji23]
He also has a rare Riley Alf!

The Google review of "Mr. Savagery" has been updated and now refers to a suspicious activity report.
Funny, that.
He has suddenly left some more Google reviews around the Merseyside area, too....and one in Nottingham (screen-grabbed) for another business which complains that he is not recognised as a customer. No suspicious activity, that !
Your legacy is already assured, Sir.
I wonder if a local newspaper would equally publish anything that tz-uk members drew to their attention ?
If you google 'Mr. Savagery google reviews', this thread is top of the list. Excellent.
Bump, because surely Bob the Snide Watch Nob deserves to stay on the front page.
