Hi, very new to the forum, I recently treated myself to this 1973 Rolex Datejust for my 27th birthday.

Bought about a week ago 2001 Explorer
1960's German Airforce Junghans J88, mustn't have seen much action as it's minty.

Bought this and put it on the rubber strap as a holiday watch and very pleased with it. Rather have it than the equivalent modern Rolex to be honest

These are the Eco-Drive stalwarts foe me at the moment.

My first aerospace arrived this week, after a trip to a boutique for an extra couple of links it's now on my wrist and I'm loving it although it doesn't feel like I'm wearing it due to how light it is

I'm very new to all of this but I have been picking up a few vintage pieces whenever I can get them for the right money, I picked up this little fella the other day, I think it's especially nice. Omega Geneve, 1957, cal 267, manual wind. All original condition on black crocodile strap. Sorry about the crap photos, I need to work on my camera skills!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0464ffb5d8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d527d10770.jpg

Thanks. I just did what I've learned on here. On the acrylic crystal I used a Boots nail buffing block, initially the grade 2 side because the scratches were deep. It looks like you've completely ruined the crystal as it goes opaque. Once the scratches were out I used Polywatch to polish it up to a shine. Then I put some tape over the crystal to mask it and used a soft cloth with Brasso on it to polish the stainless steel case (I didn't have a Cape Cod cloth to hand). I took quite a bit of time doing each facet and curve one at a time, wrapping the cloth around a small stick at some points. The case is scratched enough that it would probably benefit from proper refinishing, which is way beyond me, but it actually has lots of tiny facets and very sharp edges that I wouldn't want to lose. I then used a bit of alcohol based cleaning fluid to remove any remaining dirt.
Sounds like a lot of work but it was less than an hour.
PS Your Omega Geneve looks lovely - no need to polish that one up :)
Yeah Alfa the Geneve is good the way it is, I also picked up this but have some scratches on the Crystal that I would like to sort rather than replacing it as its the original Crystal.

That looks great as well. I'm sure you'll get lots of advice on here, there are some world experts in old Omegas. I don't even know if the crystal is acrylic. I do know you have to be very careful with finishing those cases. If you do a search on the forum you'll find some other threads where people have renovated similar watches I think.
Picked this one up recently as an occasional weekender.
Rather nice and pretty comfy despite its size.

Wanted one for ages for some reason, just a beater

I've got one too, brings together 2 of my favourite features - World Map and digital hands. Also got one of these:

My recently acquired Sinn 103 Sa B, had the watch about 3 weeks but the strap has just arrived from Martu straps in Chile
thanks to Carlton Browne for the recommendation and Andrea for making a special to my design.

Loving this in the metal. Just bought an hour ago. It's going to herald the demise of my BLNR I'm sure - super cool multi coloured bezel and the best bit - no date bubble! :)

Another new arrival - Hamilton Khaki 42MM.

Nice one Ryan, although I'm not sure it's a replacement for a BLNR. A nice position to be in being able to try all these new watches with no/minimal loss.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3e296d6fed.jpg first outing today. Not worked out whether it is a watch that looks better on other people yet.
Yep RRP is £5320 and it cost me £3575 so I can't see me losing much on it when I decide to flip it (in about a week lol!).
For me it's much more special feeling than the BLNR and doesn't wear so tall on the strap. Although I'm not sure why they put all the dashes around the bezel. It's the date bubble that annoys me on the BLNR
I am not sure if this counts! Tag Heuer Super Professional Dive Kit, I don't dive but when one popped up for sale, I could not resist :)

Arrived today. Very happy with it!

Looks like your wtb worked a treat - great stuff!
You have done well there, I especially like the no radiations watch. I would have bought that but by the time I saw it there were already about four people ahead of me on the dibs list.
There are some great discontinued models, I have done a WTB for a Smiths Radio Room, but no luck yet.
