Love it, wish they'd stuck with that dial layout for DSub2 and 3, tho' I prefer the 'Plongeur' hands of those..

The Hirsch Robby perfectly matches the watch (mildly biased as I wear exactly the same combo - serial number 19 bought from SC a couple of years ago). I thought the price looked really good on eBay. Other design features that I like on the Dsub1 are the more pronounced bezel notches, and the submarine engraving on the case.
I haven't tired of mine and hope you get as much pleasure!
Picked this up recently, and I still can't get on with the Damasko bracelet, so on a seatbelt-style NATO now. A good winter watch.

I’ve had a lot of German watches over the years, this may be my favourite of them all.

Picked this up recently and love the Damasko Bracelet. ;0)
Although it’s not the one that came with the watch.

Picked this up this last week. I'd been thinking about a Damasko for a long time and now I'm wondering why I waited so long.
It's fantastic but could be the start of an expensive obsession :love-struck:

They're good watches Brent.
This for me - back with me after I foolishly sold it. A special-order DC82 with the 12-hour bezel (the special bit!)

My recently gone DC56, fantastic watch and would love a 3 hander next. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...07833bf4fe.jpg

This beauty. My DK105https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9c0b7c64cc.jpg
Like them both. But they’re probably too similar in general looks to warrant keeping.
Difference in the 20mm - 22mm bracelet is made up by the outer links.

I really like the DA15, a couple have popped up on SC over the past year and I have managed to not succumb :) Is it larger than DA47, it looks it?
DK15 was one of the earliest with their in-house movement and quite a rarity. Pretty sure its the same watch that has had a few owners on here, and I've been tempted every single time it's come up for sale, but it's far too similar to a couple of my others, so always resisted. I'd not be able to let such a rarity go if I owned it...
Of the two, I much prefer the 47.
Its a very cool watch MM, and if it is 42/43mm the perfect size too.
Look what’s back:

Look at the price!
€2000+
Rather find a DA36 used for £800
Even though the EO strap looked great I've put the awesome bracelet on that I already had after buying the watch from Walter

Yup. I admire Damasko breaking out into manufacturing their own movements, rather than getting embroiled in parts drama but this is a watch that should have a sellita in it and benefit from the economies of scale that come with it.
I’d be shocked if there were tons of people paying that kind of money for one.
I was commenting on why the offering and price point are higher than you'd prefer, rather than your preference.
I've several models with off the shelf movements but can totally understand why they might prefer to progress and move up market, rather than targeting a lower price point, and wish them well.
Not a good comparison - the 104 utilises a mundane movement and lacks a hardened steel case.
Sinn's 856 is closer - but still has a mundane movement inside - and that is £2,000+ new now!
FWIW, I've no doubt Damasko will issue a much cheaper variant with a more run-of-the-mill movement in due course, they've done as much with other recent issues.
My third DS30 and my second yellow. Let's see how long I keep this one.

DC66 Si with the Damasko silicone hairspring - my loyal companion for the past few years.
Does anyone have the insight scoop on why Damasko stopped producing these?
I assume their focus shifted entirely to in-house movements?
After a few weeks of wearing an Everest Classic and the smaller size of PRS-68 I got the urge for a Damasko. As the DA37 is away on it's holidays it was a choice from 1 . . .

Damn nice watch.
I don't have the scoop as such, but suspect it's a combo of (anecdotal) reliability issues with the early batch, plus Damasko's ever-present difficulty recruiting enough watchmakers to service demand: as soon as they train people up and get them proficient they head off to Schweiz for better pay and lower taxes. So, I'd guess they simplified their model lineup by dropping the more-expensive, less-popular movement option.
The chronos all still use Valjoux 7750s, so no swap to in-house yet; daresay it'll happen eventually.
Thank you, Paul. That makes sense.
I happened to call Damasko earlier on an unrelated matter and asked them about the availability of the Si models. Mrs Morrell confirmed that they have no plans to reintroduce the series, but they still have some stock available of all the Si models. I am quite tempted by a 56 now...
Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying your 756!
Sounds like they must have a few movements left. Must admit I'd be tempted myself - my 56 is actually looking a bit 'vulnerable' since I got the 756, especially as I fancy trying an Archimede Outdoor Chrono - but a DC56 Si could hold its place... Then again a lot of expensive refurbishment work happening here at the mo'...
And yes, the 756 has barely been off my wrist since we met - really enjoying it! I hope the DC76 is getting some wrist time with you?

The coating on the Damasko picks up dirt really easy. Give it a clean with a toothbrush, and it looks like brand-new.
I’m wearing it more now.
Was very lucky to pick up the OEM leather strap option for a DC86 from SC the other day and so now, I have all three OEM options covered.
