Just watched the first two episodes of Shogun on Disney+ - fantastic, and as good as everyone has been hoping. There's a lot of spoken Japanese with subtitles, so you have to commit to watching without browsing on your phone at the same time!

Masters of the Air is a fantastic series.
Watched the first 2 episodes of Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen last night and had ixed feelings on it
I think it'll grow into a really good series but it's hard to get the originall film out of my mind when watching it. I don't think the characheters have
anywhere near the same gravitas of the film, but lets see how it progresses
Anyone else started watching this?
The Prison. BBC4
Danish drama which follows 4 Prison officers through their time at the Prison 6 episodes pretty graphic in places and stars Sophie Grabol from the Killing
Shogun has started very well

Best series I've watched in years is "Mr Inbetween". Apologies if it's been mentioned before, but not many people outside of Australia know about it, and it's a masterpiece. Binge watched all episodes abroad so don't know which channel can catch it in the UK, but if you get a chance to stream it I highly recommend it.
"Beef" on Netflix is a mad series - so well written and acted. Highly recommend.
"Parks and Recs" is a funny watch - you'll get so see Chris Pratt and Aubrey Plaza in early roles, and Nick Offerman is an absolute genius.
We all know about "The Last of Us" series 1. Will be re-watching soon in preparation for series 2 next year.
First few series of "Banshee" were good and worth a watch, but then the format was just repeated for later series.
First 2 series of "Hannibal" were excellent, but then for me series 3 went far too dark and off the rails and stopped watching.
the gentlemen (though i felt the last episode let it down somewhat - basically so predictable )
shogun (very good still running)
im also working my way through season 3 of slow horses which is moving along nicely
I'm loving Shogun, but can't escape the thought that Blackthorne is Tom Hardy playing Boris Johnson .
For me it was just OK.
Worth a watch if you like his stuff and want a simple entertaining story but nothing special. I wanted it to conclude by episode 5/6ish.
If you took Lock Stock, Snatch, & The Gentlemen (film), put them all into a blender, blitzed to a puree and then spread the results out into 8 Netflix episodes, that is The Gentlemen (series).
Binge watched episodes 5, 6 & 7 last night, so only episode 8 left. Haven't changed my opinion - it's OK but just same-old same-old. Won't be desperate to see second series.
Shogun on Disney+ is pretty good. Mr Inbetween is worth a watch too!
I think we will all have different opinions on the series (and I have to say I enjoyed it more towards the end, simple soul that I am), at the end of the day it's just a bit of fun.
Admittidly it's a formulaic Guy Ritchie piece, but I thought that having different directors for the later episodes might have chnged it a bit
I'm hearing that talks around getting a second series are happening and that Netflix are pleased with the overall response to the First. I'd be happy for it to happen, as I had quite a lot of work from the filming of it and it was a lot of fun
Happy to watch it just for Kaya Scodelario.
The Gone on the iPlayer/BBC4. Kiwi noir.

Remember the Lock Stock TV series? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lock,_Stock...
Started watching 'Turning Point - The Bomb and the Cold War' on Netflix...9 part series...I've read quite a bit about the cold war and know the essentials but this provides a lot of incredible footage and some very interesting interviews, recommended so far
3 Body Problem on Netflix is very good
Anyone watching Constellation on Apple? Release 7 of the 8 episodes so far, first 4 were great, then so far it’s slowly gone up it’s own convoluted @rsehole. Episode 7 was just ridiculous. Will watch episode 8 but not hopeful of a clean ending,
Just started The Dropout on BBC, seems to have potential based on the subject matter of Theranos.

I can’t believe only Andy has highlighted this. It’s the best thing I’ve seen in years, and apart than some dramatic license, it’s true. The soundtrack from Blake Neely is also a fine piece of work. I’m going to rewatch it, it’s that good. There’s also a documentary on the 100th bomb group, that also makes compelling viewing.

The first few episodes of Masters of the Air were so good, then I found it a bit dull tbh
