The bonnetto cinturini sourced straps seem particularly expensive these days.

On the positive side, more people seem to hate what they are doing now than what they used to do so they must have done fewer wrong things then than now.

Although more than one person on the WTF Bremont thread is now looking at all the original stuff heavily discounted!
Looks like message received, or at least they could have been clearer at the time when launching the new collections.
This just into my in box with a picture of an MB2 “… pilot watches, Bremont’s...
Some here too https://www.markworthingtonjewellers.co.uk/mens-bremont_1.html
A slightly trivial example maybe but this is the service sheet for my MB2 that’s with them now.
Pretty obvious this is a Bremont so no idea why they are walking away from something distinctive...

That alt1-p is just the ticket, need to pick one up at some point.
I’m unconvinced by what I’ve seen which is a shame because I was interested in what was coming. I have an MB2, the brand stuff...
Personally I like the S and SDR. Tick the tegiment box if you go steel though. Not seen a scratch on my 857.
Here’s the AliExpress one next to the Tudor.
AE - around 30.3cm for the whole thing, 29cm for the fabric part excluding buckle
T - 29.5 whole thing, 28.1 excluding buckle.
Not much in it but...

Stumbled across this on eBay - bit more expensive but less than the Tudor. Not seen one in person but looks like nato webbing which will be different to the Tudor webbing.

True indeed but a 200 quid strap still only has 10p worth of velcro on it.
It’ll be the fluffy loop side. Get the sewing machine out and sew in a new fluffy bit!

No but they’ve rinsed the moon connection to death and put 007 logos on divers watches, presumably to appeal to 10 year olds so just as tacky.
^^ like that. Definitely want to pick up an early Alt1-P or Z at some point.
Agree about the slightly confusing design direction. The collection was very clear early on then the vintage bandwagon seemed to make them lose focus and try all sorts of things. I love my MB2 but...
There’s an FXD thread with people posting different strap options. Newer posts are more strap related.

No issues, had for a year, wash it though! The only thing I think would need attention over time would be the fuzzy loop part of the Velcro but as per any Velcro. It’s an ideal strap for the watch....
