I am considering a G Shock and was wondering if there were any advantage of the GPS enabled GPW-1000 over the Multiband 6 GW-A1100 ?

Obviously the former has the ability to acquire a signal...

The one I would keep in a winder/let run down also needs to be advanced 24 hours, I suppose you'd need to be really 'ham fisted' to damage it.....I hope.

I suppose looking at it like that....

I have just acquired my second mechanical watch and was just wondering what the consensus was on watch winders ?

Should you keep a mechanical watch 'ticking over' on a winder or is it perfectly OK...

Exactly right, at the end of the day it was easily remedied.

It was actually my wife's idea.....easier to get her to buy it than explain another watch purchase, I am a lucky guy.

The cost of servicing varies depending on parts needed, a quote cannot usually be given until the watch is dismantled.

Maybe pm Brendan and he will be able to give you more information.

My wife purchased for me a lovely 1960's Constellation for my upcoming 50th birthday, unfortunately the seller was unsure as to when the watch was last serviced, and as it's a 'keeper' we decided to...
