The shelves are from Dunelm - the Fulton. If I were you I'd look at Ikea, though (I probably should have done as well.
The helmet racks are made by Sealey.
I've actually got them on the Audioengine angled rubber stands, so they're pointing straight at my ears (and buffered from the desk).
Anyway, shelving now up (standing against the wall behind me)...
That's a good question, Matt, and I have no idea of the answer. I'm going to have to check now, though!
I was also thinking of having them in the bedroom, for the hi-fi system as opposed to the...
I bought the wireless version, Matt, so they're connected via Bluetooth (and they're powered - 60w peak - so don't need an amp). Theoretically I could play them in another room (if I wanted to, that...
Thanks! I'm nearly there, I think.
^^^ Functional is key.
Not managed to paint the wall yet, but the Audioengine A2+ Wireless speakers have now been added and they sound and look great. Picked them up as-new from eBay for £140...
That looks good, Matt. Have a look at the Govee lighting for behind the monitor (and/or for the rear edge of the desk).
I'm not sure that I'm entirely following that, Matt. What shape is the monitor, as the Halo comes with an additional attachment if it's curved?
I've had a spell of not being able to do the...
That's a great size, and I definitely wouldn't go any less than 70mm deep. Very, very cheap compared to the competition, but hopefully a good quality.
Are you sure you want a glass top?
I’d go with another track, or tracks, perhaps with some lighting on the same wall.
Absolutely lovely room, although I agree that the chair is probably less than ideal from an ergonomics perspective. I do like it though, and I love the oxblood desk mat.
Sam, my son, was meant to...
Have you had a look at the Audioengine A2+?
Nice job - that's a huge improvement. I'd suggest a BenQ Halo lightbar instead of the freestanding light, though, which would free up a chunk of desk real estate as well.
No need for a couple of...
Nice thought, Matt, thank you. No, if I did it myself I’d probably end up back in hospital (I’m not mean to lift anything heavy for another four weeks).
What colour are you going for?
Very frustrated that my son’s out of action for a few days. The painting is going to have to wait, but so are the new (black) bookshelves and relocating the TV....
I think that increased happiness in sitting in the room will inevitably improve both your productivity and comfort, Matt. It will be interesting to hear your feedback once you’re used working in the...
Great that you’ve been inspired to make some improvements. Retired or not though, I reckon you could still simplify that desktop if you wanted to.
Believe me, Chris, it’s killing my OCD more! Unfortunately, i’m not allowed to get up a ladder and it’s probably a bit too heavy for me to try and lift at this moment in time; however, my son now has...
It's a Deltahub Carpio 2.0.
Yes, the mat is superb.
I’m far too happy with the S3 to consider changing it. The vertical muse is a good option, though.
These are the lights, Matt. They can face outwards too, and can be operated via a remote or the Govee app.
Yes, then palm rest moves with you/the mouse.
I wasn't going to post another photo just yet, but I have some new lighting and have also received the desk mat and palm rest that I ordered. Oh, and I've relocated the helmet racks as well...
...
Music to my ears, both - hugely pleased that the thread has had an impact, and look forward to seeing some photos as and when.
I’ve made a few updates myself but have some bigger changes to the...
Look forward to seeing it. Still got lots to do to mine, and really looking forward to doing the new paint job on the walls.
