Explains a lot.
Yes. The bear pit. Is that your choice of venue for watch discussion?
Still like to find out about the 8 Rolex Toshk bought in the last 4 years, which apparently were losing between 1-2 and 3-4 seconds. I don't remember seeing any threads about the problem or any posts...
Rubbish. Many people who buy Rolex wear them every day. In fact I would go so far as to say the vast majority do.
I myself wear every watch I own, some more than others, the Rolex models more than...
Get over yourself.
Oh I'm sure you have. You mention them all the time after all.
Because I wonder if some people ever buy watches, regardless of brand or price. Seems some just like to run down others choices all the time, and seldom have anything to say about their own watches....
Wonder what you will risk then. Do let us know.
Let me know when you buy a San Martin and post some pics. In fact let me know when you actually buy a watch and post some pics.
Spot on. As usual.
Oh hi, thought you'd left us.
Was still wondering about what I asked you earlier.
Are you ok?
Did you ever mention the terrible 1-2 second and 3-4 second timekeeping on the 8 Rolex you bought in the last 4 years before? Just wondering if it's something that you only realised was happening...
I'll remember that when I'm wearing one of mine. :eagerness:

Presumably ‘fanboy’ is some kind of Rolex insult. Am I asking too many questions perhaps?
So you bought 8 in the last 4 years with the 3231 movement which you said were losing between 1-2 and 3-4...
You didn’t answer my question. You said…
“The Explorers all ran 2-3 seconds slow from new, so expected to get worse. Sold very shortly after purchase.
The rest also ran slow, but not on the...
I have many watches, mostly mechanical, some quartz, and I couldn’t tell you how many seconds fast or slow any of them are.
They tell the time close enough for me so all is good.
I am interested...
So have you have had watches since that run better than 2-3 and 3-4 seconds I presume? San Martin perhaps, or other brands? Did you keep them running for a long time 'in the box' running at 3-4...
How many of the 11 did you have problems with? You said bad luck 10-11 times?
Since they fixed it was it so bad?
Wow, 10-11 Rolexes.
Could always use a San Martin as a beater and keep the Rolex for best! :-).
Yes, I thought the same.
Be interesting to see similar price curves from other brands. :icon_biggrin:
I'm guessing that won't happen!

I don’t think Rolex owners in general have a ‘being ripped off’ feeling. And expensive things can be just tasteful as much as less expensive ones. Personally I have watches costing from £20 upwards...
