A lovely looking watch. I'm not normally a fan of two-tone watches, but this works very well. Congratulations!
Another sufferer here. Mine's not helped by swimming and will get particularly 'character-building' when the OW season starts for me in April.
I wholeheartedly agree. I have several albums in my music collection.
Sad to hear that André Previn passed away today. He was 89, so a good innings.
He'll always be remembered as Andrew Preview in the iconic Morecambe and Wise sketch.
Thanks for sharing. Roger Smith comes across as a real gentleman.
Thanks for posting that. I really enjoyed it. Oh to have that level of skill, artistry and above all, patience.
How long does it take a leech to qualify?
This is a well-timed post. I got hit by a stationary post which resulted in a dented rear bumper. I think as its plastic, it will probably just push out (fingers crossed)...I'm definitely not...
These are all very nicely done. Great work.

When you take pictures close-up, the depth of field is very narrow - often no more than a couple of mm, depending on the magnification and aperture used to take the shot.

I enjoyed that. Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us.

These pics are very nice. Having made exactly one attempt at focus stacking, I don't think it's that much of a faff. Certainly not much more than setting up the shot in the first instance. The...
Damn. U beet me too it.
Done :-)
Thanks - I used Photoshop CC 2018 to create the merged image. I must have a delve into the DP sub forum...
Nono,
thanks for your comments and sharing your shots. I can see this becoming an addictive past time!

For want of nothing better to do, I thought I'd have a go at taking a picture of one of my watches and have a crack at focus stacking. Here is the result of about an hour's "work".

I'd like a Speedmaster Professional and it will be interesting to see what if anything Omega come up with for the 50th anniversary - I guess we'll know when Basel-World comes around in a few weeks. ...
I am biased as I have an IWC MK XVI with black dial. It was my first luxury mechanical watch purchase. I couldn't be happier with it although it doesn't get as much wrist time as it used to now...
Merry Christmas!

Are you sure it wasn't a Ruby Murray that gave you the Richard Pitts?
Lovely. Here's hoping for some dry, cold clear days to enjoy it over the Christmas break.
One of the few politicians that seemed to have some integrity. R.I.P.
Congratulations on your new watch. It would be nice to think that the long waiting lists for some sports watches might be a thing of the past and maybe (just maybe) cool off the secondhand market....
