Thanks for the positive comments chaps, really interesting to hear about the experience at the Carnaby Street store too so thanks for sharing that.
Regarding the shinyness, the watch is quite...
I've just started a thread sharing some photos of my DLC which I've just opened. Watch itself looks great, the Porter bag is OK but not amazing quality, doesn't feel as expensive as I thought it...
I've not been active on this forum for quite a while, nor have I made any watch purchases recently (I think the two are probably linked!) but I had a pretty special delivery from the postman today I...
I think spending 4 figures on a G-Shock may be confirmation that I've fully lost the plot, but my DLC has just been delivered and is waiting for me at home when I get back from work this evening!
...
Thanks for that, I'll take a look :)
Nothing to add to the above really, other than to say I've enjoyed reading it!
My watch stays in the locker at the gym - plenty of clocks around for checking the time where I go. I do wonder if...
Great job, I'm sure you could sell it for a fair profit back on the bay, but nicer to keep it for yourself and know you got yourself a bargain!
Thanks both, very useful information :)
Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I promise it's relevant!
I'm going to Madrid for bank holiday weekend and was wondering if it would be a good opportunity to pick up a black bay blue bezel...
I know these threads have been done before so apologies for that...
I have £110 of Tesco vouchers, the oldest of which are near their expiration date, so I could do with spending them.

Looks great, congrats!
I'd like to try one of these in a year or two when they are more readily available second hand.
Rolex Yachtmaster
Rolex Daytona
IWC Ingenieur
Phew - was very close to a completely unnecessary purchase there but when I tried to add the Ball Fireman (the £640 one) to my basket it said it was out of stock.
I've always been keen to try out...
Here is a nice story about them for you:

I didn't ask any more about the exchange thing, just on the basis that I would have happily exchanged an unuseable bezel for a useable one if my existing red/black bezel couldn't be fitted - I popped...
All's well that ends well!
Popped into Rolex at St James' Square today and they straightened out my red/black bezel for me (they said it had a kink in it), and then fitted it to the watch for me -...
You must have jinxed me - struggled for about 10 minutes with the coke bezel with no luck, so I thought I'd try refitting the all black bezel, which went in with comparative ease.
So the good news...
Thank you :)
It is the 'Red Hot' look I am going for, as per your pics - I look forward to having it all back together as it looks great on there!
Thanks chaps - yeah I've got an invoice from Rolex where the previous owner had a new bezel fitted for £30 (inc the bezel), so £65 for pure fitting was just the jeweller trying it on, in my opinion....
Afternoon chaps
After a frustrating experience with a watch repair shop near Liverpool St (who wanted to charge me £65 to fit a bezel insert that I was supplying) and another similarly unhelpful...
Lot of watches on that list!
That sounds a very good price!
I've only skim read the thread but if it hasn't already been mentioned then Titanium is the answer!
Last Summer my Aerospace was great for Summer days - where stainless steel can be...

Thought it looked quite cool in the pics but isn't a looker in the flesh! Was quickly back on SC!
First two Rolexes...
