Very nice, Phil. Congratulations.

I bought my 1970's Remake Chrono for £770 shipped to the USA.
I owned a modified PRS-5 as well. It had NOS Precista 6BB 7733 hands substituted and was just a beauty.

Love mine. Until very recently I owned the classic original as well, but the re-issue is totally working for me these days...

Nicely done, Mike. Congratulations!

Thanks. My hunch would be that they were both made by Guinand, especially given Guinand's relationship with Sinn at the time. It's another reason I think the HS-100 is so cool. It really is a...
I quite like it and don't mind that it's a modified Series 40. I'm a little surprised Sinn themselves didn't do something, given how find they are of LE's and celebrating company anniversaries, etc....
Thanks for digging up the listing. Wow, yes, it's too bad about the crown. Otherwise it appears quite solid.

Cheers, BillyCasper. I'd love to have one that I bought right from the store in Freeport. These were my dream watch in high school, but I couldn't afford the 50 bucks or whatever they cost back in...
I have searched and searched for this completed listing (the Newmark) without success. Could you please provide a link?
Thanks
Myron
Andy,
I was referring to modern Hamiltons that are faked. Be very cautious when buying these pieces.
Myron
Totally agree! A 6B or Smiths is a couple of steps up for sure. Both more interesting and higher quality.
OP, another interesting candidate for you, although rare, would be a Hamilton FAPD...
With respect, I will disagree with Mr. Casper but only in part. I own several of these 33 mm Hamiltons, both military-issued watches and civilian equivalents. I find them relatively robust, nicely...
Very nice! I had one of these, an '86 issue I believe, until recently. They are very solidly built.
Congratulations.
Myron
Amazing watch. Thanks for sharing. I can see why it is considered the archetypical deck watch.
Myron
He went for a swim or a dive? I took my PRS-82 swimming in Lake Michigan once with the crown accidentally left in its unscrewed-down position (there were a few beers involved the night before ;). ...
I tend to think more of the St Pauli Girl, or maybe the St Pauli Girl in my dreams.
OP, the hands are quite blue. But I love blued hands so this totally works for me. In fact, my only...
Super nice, Matt!

I think I bought one of the last ones Silverman's had. It came with some crappy "Montres Swiss" box and not the usual CWC tin. The price was £770 delivered to the US. A week after it came I...
Matt, this is just fantastic! What a beautiful piece, and you must be very (justifiably) proud. Congratulations on a great addition.
Best wishes,
Myron
Drop me a PM!
Thanks, guys! I live not too far from Chicago (compared to Sheffield, anyway) and make frequent trips to Horween to select the shell cordovan myself. I have a small workshop...
Thought I'd bump this thread to show off my new strap for my PRS-36. It's shell cordovan from Horween in Navy blue with ivory stitch. I love how the blue picks up the blued hands. What a great...
Hi Allen,
I can't say for sure. I didn't like the syringe hands, and thought the watch that had been modded with NOS Precista hands would solve it, but they didn't. I never really liked the bead...
Hey Matt,
You know, it's funny; the PRS-5 is the only Time Factors watch that I never got on with. I have owned two, one of which was the watch famously modified by Lambstew using NOS Precista...
