Watched the first three episodes last night. Stylish cinematography. Suspect I'll have finished it this weekend.

The Space Shuttle That Fell to Earth (Columbia) on BBC.
Looks like NASA leadership/ management was in a wretched state at the time.

It is good.
On the topic of over-subscribing OxyContin, I’d also recommend The Pharmacist on Netflix.

Just started The Liberator on Netflix. Comic book style animation set in WW2. Found the first few minutes a bit weird, but found it intriguing and am getting in to it.

Finally got to Bloodline, just started S2.

I thought it poor as a historical drama and, if it was trying to emulate Peaky Blinders, a swaggering, yarn with a dark humour, think Arfur and Alfie Solomons. It was clumsy.

Just finished watching Woodstock 99. As you say jaw dropping.
Were Scher and Lange evil or just nuts?
The selection of headline acts was unlikely to emulate the peace, love, anti-war vibe of...
I watched Valley of Tears about the Yom Kippur war pretty much in a single splurge. Some really strong parts, some other story lines less so. Good, worth watching.
All4 - the frequency, length and...
Just started Bates Motel on BBC iPlayer, completed first series and now onto second. Good characters and actors, Twin Peakish but without the total Lynch weirdness. Lynch stuff is hard to touch, but...
Spiral starts again tonight on BBC4
Storyville on BBC and iPlayer always has interesting films.
Watched this, this week. Some sad and painful stories.
Storyville, Facing Franco's Crimes: The Silence of Others:...
I’’m quite enjoying watching:

Not sure if I or somebody else has mentioned it before, but I thought Fosse Verdon, available on BBC iPlayer, was very good. An unlikely subject, choreographers Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon: Sweet...
Coming to this very late and binge watching.
Excellent!

Prompted by another thread,
I watched the first of this seven part documentary on BBC.
Spotlight On The Troubles: A Secret History
Documentary series offering new insights into The Troubles in...
Big Night Out last night. Same old, same old from nearly 30 years ago. Still makes me snigger and snort though.
I was taken with Bob talking about his childhood and losing his father in a car crash when Bob was so young.
Usk looked beautiful. Was recently on the neighbouring Brecon-Monmouth canal.
Also...
Series 2 has started.
Also, quite like Game Face.

Catch 22 C4 George Clooney.
Hoping it will be good.
P.s. I thought it was and am looking forward to next week’s.
Surprised myself and enjoyed the Katie Puckrik two parter on BBC 4 on Yacht...
I think it was missed by some as it clashed with Virtues. I suspect Virtues and Summer of Rockets attract similar audiences and not everybody remembers to catch-up.
Yes, I like this, I like Poliakoff. I’m interested in the post war period it is set in, same as the recent Close to the Enemy. Both interesting and stylish. A bit hit and miss with audiences...
Echoing, Chernobyl is excellent, gripping drama and informative.
For a good read on the subject I recommend Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster by Svetlana Alexievich.

I’m on a Lee and Dean binge at the moment. Kind of avoided it first time around as I am somewhat squeamish about smarmy, TV, media types taking the piss out of the less capable. A squeamishness that...

I’m three episodes in to Pacific. I don’ think it is very good. The scripts and acting are not a patch on Band of Brothers
Does it get better, or should I give up?
