It's on Prime but on the Starz Play bit.
Yes, very, very good. Having read the books it's a good telling / show of some weird writing...although Season 2 is Book 3 and Season 3 is now introducing characters from Book 2...but I know why they...
About halfway through new Amazon (actually AT&T production) Mr Mercedes based on a Stephen King book. Psychological thriller with Brendan Gleeson on fine form as the lead character, an ex cop, and...
Same here - Lost in Space was pretty decent, some duff notes but overall it was okay. I sort of wanted them all to die but whatever...
Just finished The Alienist on Netflix and it's very good. Tad...
Wasn't a fan...it was missing something for me. I hadn't read the books, so can't comment on how faithful it is to those but overall I thought it was conceptually strong but poorly executed. There's...
Yep and a nice nod to the history there as well!
Finished Absentia on Amazon (Prime original) - a neat little who dunnit / FBI piece that although contains a lot of very obvious stuff has a couple of good twists in it. 10 epsiodes, each around 50...
Will check that out - cheers!
Agreed - watched both and they were excellent.
Errr...it has subtitles...but you need to switch the language to German and subtitles to English. I have no idea why Netflix defaulted it to dubbed, terrible idea.
Didn't think it was anything...
Watched new (first) German Netflix show 'Dark'. Superb stuff...crime drama with a side of sci-fi and some theoretical physics in the mix. Best not so say more for fear of spoilers but worth a look if...
Agreed ^^^ Only thing that really bugged me was the terrible music, especially in the Kandahar flashbacks. Other programmes have done it far better and it was odd b/c to date across all the Marvel TV...
Yep totally agree. First episode is a bit 'meh' but it really hits it stride and the guy playing Ed Kemper is utterly brilliant in the most creepy of ways.
Watched Midnight Sun (now TV/ Sky Atlantic) - very enjoyable Swedish / French police drama. 8 episodes I think. Worth a look.
American Gods - nope. Now maybe it's because I've read the book but the first epsiode was overly-stylised but lacking in any of the humour of the source material. It was a total mess. I'm going to...
Getting in to a new Netflix series filmed in Brazil, The 3%. Not an entirely original concept of a utopia and tests to become a memeber but it looks stunning.
If you like sci-fi The Expanse was good...first few episodes are stunning, then it loses it's way a bit before building to an interesting finale.
Anyone else the Dusk till Dawn TV series? There's some parts I love but others I find maddening...Robert Partick as the dad in the RV is great, the two brothers less so. Wondering if it's worth...
You ever watch The Shield. That was good.
My issue with DD was not the main character. I just cannot stand Foggy. And at times the constant disucssions of right vs wrong was like wathcing Dawson's Creek.
I'm 6 (out of 13) episodes in to Luke Cage and it is streets ahead of Daredevil, which I quite enjoyed but found the supporting cast very average, and personally a little more watchable than Jessica...
Another vote for Stranger Things - although it is essentially just a bunch of different source materials merged in to one show - brilliantly cast. Not that the writers have claimed any different.
