Cheers Mate. That makes more sense.
Apologies for being so stupid. I was looking at WFinder prices and the RRP was showing discontinued. Then I checked the web site.
I’ve only realised today that this model is now discontinued, when did this happen and why, I wonder.

This is my only IWC now. A beautiful watch. I did own a Yacht Club Chrono which was just magnificent.
There’s a Tressa mechanical alarm watch on SC. It’s a fundraiser. It was mine, new, from 1971.

Sad times. Waiting lists for a steel DJ 41 now approx 1 year.
Love the brand, but lost patience with all the AD BS.

Got this last week from London...
Clearly watch flippers.
I don’t see the logic in an AD risking their business model with Rolex by selling to the grey market direct, do you?
Rolex would immediately revoke any contractual obligation with the AD.
It’s clearly obvious that IWC and Zenith must be looking at the dismal supply of Rolex sports watches and thinking this is our time to capitalise on the current market.
Both have introduced...
Buy the new IWC 41mm Pilot Chrono save yourself about £23k.

I’ve owned 3 Daytona’s they...
I’m sure the late 70’s and 80’s Daytona’s we’re 37/38mm case size. But modern 40mm Rolex sports watches seem to appeal to the vast majority.
Point taken.
Mostly I agree with you. But 40mm Diameter is more the ‘norm’ now.
It’s a stunner but 38mm?
I think Zenith have short sided themselves on size.
It’s interesting that Zenith and IWC are producing some stunning cost effective watches, probably to compete with...
Stunning. Why wait 127 years for a Daytona at RRP when you can have this at nearly 1/2 price. NOW!!
Winner winner chicken dinner.
Absolutely PERFECT
Price is bang on
IWC really nailing the £6-7k market now.
There’s 3 on chrono 24 just now. Less than RRP
I totally agree with you, but people are a lot more savvy these days and looking at a potential investment opportunity, or a more resilient brand that doesn’t drop in value the second you walk out of...
Great collection. In answer to your question. If. You can get a steel Daytona and a steel PP Aquanaut at RRP it will be the best investment opportunity you will ever make.
The ironic thing is the ones in the shop window they struggle to sell, and the hard to get ones ( that sell for a massive premium on the grey market)
Would not be appealing if you could just walk...
IMHO Probably the best looking sports model and so photogenic.
If the people you loan the money to have the ability to pay it back just get some legal paperwork in place, but be prepared to take legal action if they default. This will obviously cause ill...
