I've said it three times in this thread, and posted a picture.... get the earthkeepers resoled with a vibrum sole.
Cost me £40 three years ago, they are grippy and they've hardly worn despite...
I visited two of their shops in london, Meard St and Lambs conduit St, only 20 minute walk between the two. Meard St didn't have leather soled Freds in my size but had the welted sole in reddish...
Picked up a pair of leather soled Freds in Tan and a pair double welt sole Freds in reddish/brown in their sale at 40% off.
Not sure if i should thank you or send you the bill ....

A very very comfortable boot, but the soles wear out fast and they can be slippery on wet surfaces.
I had mine re-soled with a Vibram sole and two years later still all good and they get worn...
See my previous post in this thread about fast wearing soles on timberland earthkeepers - have them resoled with a vibrum sole.
