36W 30L vs 38W 32L
Really interesting, thank you
Both nice, thanks. I’ve just been on the USA site and quite a lot is available in wide fit but there are only two or three options on the London site. Forgot their sizing was so restricted. Should...
Great looking boots there, much too smart for me. Would be Sunday best and not for popping out.
Think that’s right yeah, but you’d imagine they’d be price lower than the Loakes
It’s a weird market for boots. Looking for Chelsea boots to slip on/off and Charles Tyrwhitt charge £200? Same price as Loake and Oliver Sweeney. Some of the Loake stuff is £150. At that rate I’d...
I think I’ll keep and resole the 875 moc toe into a non-white sole whenever it needs doing as they’re £300 and the cost of a new pair would sting. Really wish I bought the 1907 or a more sober...
The cost between a resole and a new pair makes no sense when you can get chukkas on sale half the time.
Not super keen on the white soles in winter but once worn I’ll take them for something a...
Used to love my timberland boots but the tat they’ve churned out in recent years means I wouldn’t bother anymore.
Still using my red wings but nearly always the chukkas. The palaver of lacing up...
Thanks for that. I have this but will get spot of that too.

Some job you did on the old ones. What did you use to clean the soles?
Thanks guys, interesting. I always see these and the Birkenstocks with the fur and am interested but never took the plunge.
Do you ever get got feet in them?
They look good but I can only wear certain socks with Timberlands as my feet get too hot
I'm sure the quality will have dropped in recent times but the only boot I've not had this on is Timberland. I have the typical extra wear on the right side of the heel with all my red wings.
I also buy two pairs of the boots and trainers I really like with the view of saving one but always end up wearing both but having one good pair and one ruined pair side by side.
For redwings I...
First time wearing these in at least a year.
Waiting for something at St James so thought a pic would be very TZ. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220126/fc4ea0fb09589f3d5794adb9548a9898.jpg
I need to get a pair like this. Good few pairs of Red Wings but I'll only wear them if I'm out the entire day with no chance of popping into someone's house.
The Chukkas aren't bad but the...
Yep, trying to figure out where my red wings are this morning. Found three pairs so far but not the ones I'm trying to get to
I have two pairs of Timberlands in the bog standard colour. One pair has furry toe caps from when I cleaned them with a Karcher after I'd done the patio and the left boot has a solid black line over...
The expectations for a £40 boot are pretty high. I'd prefer my boots weren't made in China either but for £40 I wouldn't care less.
Will give it a try cheers
What do you clean the soles with?
The downside of winter boot time is that some are a nightmare to take on and off when popping by to see your mum. Not sure if this is an acceptable solution....
Really think you're right. I wear Red Wings chukkas almost daily to the office (change into loafers there) and the chukkas are nice and comfy, very good boots. Wore some Timberlands I forgot I had on...
Never had Thorogood but I have quite a few pairs of red Wings. I would say these are boots you need to try on in person. I have 4 diff types and I think I'm 3 different sizes.
