Another vote for "true to size" I wear an 8 in DMs and formal shoes and Redwings 875 are also fine in 8. They are quite tight on width and are taking a little break in, certainly would not advise to...

No, they are not... well not fully, not on the heal and ankle, the front of the foot is of a very strurdy construction, they do seem to be well made.

I like leather lining but I do not think it is...

Thanks, I did end up opting for tan for those reasons, also I google image searched and the boots that looked best with some wear were invariably tan.

Hard buying footwear remotely as everything seems to be sized different these days!

I really like the look of the RedWings and I am very tempted apart from the price, not a lot else to choose from in the moc-toe boot in the UK though.
