Have you tried both styles of rubber straps? You may find the 'accordion' ones feel different to the standard one. Plenty of aftermarket ones are available too.

I used Bill Rice (and would recommend) for my 112 a couple of years...
I fancied some Panerai 'wall art' many years ago and I had a few canvas and prints made up using the Panerai pre-V Blueprints which looked good....
Back in the Paneristi days there were some nice pics/prints around from some members and artist Eng Tay who was a fan.

Panerai have got back to me and won't offer another 'free' strap but would include a Panerai branded gadget as a benefit.
