Since getting my Everest a few weeks back I haven't adjusted the time once. It gains a couple of seconds a day but I'm able to regulate this my leaving it crown up at night. Amazing.

I really like my Everest. One thing I've noticed is that the minute pointer doesn't quite line up with the minute indices at the start of each minute all the way around the dial. When I first saw...
Yes
Great looking mod. I was buying a replacement crystal for my prs29a so I added in a M Sternkreuz 31.4 (M314). Has anybody fitted one like this yet? (No ring). I'll keep it on the back burner and...
That's a lovely collection, Sir. Do you mind if I ask where you got that box from?
Bit of a panic earlier as the Ups tracking said my watch has been delivered to a different town. Just as I was on the phone to Ups the watch turned up. Now when I look at the tracking it says it was...
I just noticed that the pending payment I saw on my bank account has been re-credited. I hope this isn't a problem and Eddie can still take payment. I had order no. 1358 so think I'm quite early on...
14270. It's the size the dial was designed to and looks better balanced. It's probably the nicest dial ever. Also, they don't make them anymore and smaller watches are coming back into fashion.
Thanks for the excellent advice!
The scratch is way too deep. I have polished to the extent that there is now a noticeable indentation and the scratch is still there. If I try more polishing I think I will have a very weak crystal...
Good day all. I'm looking for some advice. I have the older version of the 29a with the acrylic crystal. It has a nasty scratch that is too deep for polywatch. My local jewellers are quoting...
Hi, I've managed to put a very deep scratch in the acrylic of my 29a. Sandpapering has almost got rid of it, but I've majorly distorted the shape of the acrylic. Any advice on how to replace the...
Someone else has mentioned it, but get something like the nobsound from Amazon and then some good bookshelf speakers. I recommend Qacoustics. You'll have a much better sound system than a single...
Do you ever have to think about which way the parts go when changing a strap? I just remember... buckle up!
Drilled lugs please! I'd buy another one with 20mm lugs and more strap options straight away. Any chance of changing the crown? Less sharp and maybe a logo?
As there are 10 years between the first and last 114270, I suppose a later example will have less worn parts at the microscopic level than an earlier model even if they've both been recently serviced...
And it's British.
I have the PRS29a and I don't think you can go wrong with that to be honest. It's my go-to, don't have to worry about it watch. It's also got superior field watch specs than the others. Water...
No it was Christian at watchguy. He was very good. Gives you lots of lovely pictures of the service too. No polishing though, which is fine.
I got my 14270 a couple of years back for £2900 box and papers, but not booklet. A couple of small dings in one of the lugs and some light scratches. Got the our watchmaker has serviced it routine....
The Tudor all day long. A more distinctive and classic design that oozes class imo. You could wait for a BB58.
My never serviced 8 year old Longines Legend Diver is bang on whenever I get it out of the box and wear it for a day or two.
Hi, looking for a more casualwear beater for my better half to backup her longines conquest. She likes the look of Seiko GS, Sarb etc. And cheaper Seiko seems the right price point. Would like a...
Morning, resurrecting this thread as I need to put a hole in a strap. The current holes look to be 1.5mm and the tools recommended above seem to be 2mm minimum. It's a nice strap for a thin wrist...
Followup question if I may...
I've noticed that the big shops tend to just have a few model variants of a particular model. And they all seem to pick the same few! If you want one of the other...
