Helpful first word.
Why Wordle is annoying.

Another four today, I was still pleased to get it in that number. :)
My first ever fail. I didn't get it, due to the multiplicity of available options in the pattern.

Feeling a bit insomniac tonight, so after a bit of Wordle research I used a new to me, but popular start word, and astonishingly managed a three.
...
I use the Power of language link which redirects to the NYT.

And I was pleased to get this with my usual start work only having a single hit. It took time though!

Tricky one today. I was lucky with an outside bet on my third word, otherwise it could have gone very wrong.
First ever six. Disappointing.
I like to keep the same one, which then provides some well trodden paths.

Goddamnit! Yes. Although I did get lucky with a new start word, but did try to process many words with doubles before working it out.

Yes - it should have been a three but it wasn't. Grr.

I hope that it does remain free, as it's a fun little game but it would certainly not be a great loss should it disappear behind a firewall.
Sadly a 5 today, my method was not as efficient today.

Annoyed by my first ever six, I decided to create a spreadsheet, using an English letter frequency table, to determine possible useful start words. The first I happened upon was from Cornell...
My first 6 today, as my two standard start words, which take out 38.46% of the alphabet and account for 56.6% of letter frequencies were all blank. Grrrrrr.
Too much of a spoiler!!! ;)
