This is the biggest issue for me. I have a really sweet tooth and little will power! I suspect if I could get in to a nutritional routine I’d be much slimmer than I am now!

I’ve not managed any running in July so my total for the year is still hovering around 245km. I have managed about 10 45min HIIT sessions in July though! Trying to regain core strength and muscle and...
Our trainers tell us not to stretch before, we stretch after. But we do a dynamic warm up. High knees, heel flicks, skips, easy shuttles etc before heading out.
Thanks, I’ll check them out.
Thanks chaps. Useful info. I’ll do some more research.
Does anyone run with AirPod pros? I’m looking to get some wireless headphones as my wired ones are annoying me now on longer runs! I have QC35 but I can’t run in on ear headphones!
Managed my longest ever run last week, 16km. Felt really good until the last three km or so. I reckon I could build up to a half marathon. 10km was my previous long distance.
Try a pair of the Nike Vapourfly they are apparently able to shave time off! Expensive mind!!
I’ve managed two runs this weekend for a total of 14.5km. Year going well so far, I set myself a 250km...
Not run in a few months but managed a sub 1hr 10k on Boxing Day despite a pulled calf muscle. Need to up my game in 2020 and would like to beat my total distance in 2019 of about 145km.
Also...
I think you resting HR is the one to watch, and recovery to resting rather than peak. I often hit 170-185 when training but it comes back down quickly.
Can you share any of the advice?
My quickest 5k time is 22min with pauses and 24:48 continuous running but I’d like to improve consistency.
The thing I like about running is that I only need race against myself!
I wouldn’t go to Sports Direct, they lack the knowledge.
Go to a proper running shop like runners need or ASICS and let them analyse you gait etc and advise on the best type of shoes for you. If...
Just been out for a 5k. Was pushing quite hard so took some pauses on way around. Recorded total time of 27:05 for 5k but my actual running time was 22:10 for 5.17k. Happy with that and would like to...
I find more chaffing in the rain 😳
Nope, last out Sunday for Brit Mil Fit session. Am feeling a bit guilty!
Proper running shoes are a must! The pain could be the incline working different muscles more. I’d say listen to your body. If you feel like you need more rest between runs then that’s what you...
Sounds like great progress! 1.5m to 5k in 6 weeks totally doable. Don’t worry too much about the time at the moment, it will happen.
😂😂
10k for me but it was tough! To be honest I just wanted the May 10k trophy on Strava!!
Not managed to get out today, but going to try an off-road 10k on Monday hopefully. I live in London so can really class it as a cross country!
👍🏻
I use the pre music Vivoactive 3 and find it excellent. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Get yourself set up and on Strava, you might be surprised at the motivating element. I certainly was....
Good effort. Personally I’d rather map the 5k and then adjust my pace and build slowly. So start a fast walk, build to jogging then running, improving your time each time. Others may say that’s not...
I feel your pain, literally. Though getting back now, a couple of 5k’s and a Be Military Fit session done!
Has anyone been silly enough to enter the ballot for next years London marathon?
First run today after an injury at the beginning of April. 28:42 5K which I’m happy with given the time off and the fact I’m not 100% fit.
