It's a 2.2, with the final to-do being an SC conversion (if I can stop buying watches!!!). I've done the chassis stuff first.

    1144 mintex pads
    TD 1.2 16/17's + Toyo R1R
    Quantum racing 'Black' adjustables
    Custom geometry
    ITG carbon maxogen air kit
    Larini exhaust
    Lots of carbon interior bits.

Nice 964, unusual in Black, years ago I owned a black 930 Turbo, wish I'd hanged on to that, but could say that about everything!

    Thanks!

They were re-powder coated recently so I've been at them once a week with some cleaner, an old toothbrush and a pressure washer to keep them that way!

    You need some of this:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtechniq-All.../dp/B004JNVO7C

The best thing I've ever used on alloy wheels.

BMW 325i Coupe - 3L Straight Six - still don't think there is a sweeter sound! Even if it has cost me a fortune the last 12 months.

Very nice - what cost so much?
...from an interested '09 325i owner

I bought mine for the straight 6 performance & supposed reliability
What do I need to look forward to ?

You'll be pleased to hear, nothing integral! The pothole ridden roads in surrey mean I've had a new alloy, wheel bearing and tyre (pricey combo!), windscreen washer jets serviced (filters blocked!) and the front near side plastic wing needed some diagnostics for a bad rattle and got realigned. Probably my own stupid fault for using a main dealer!

Just seen this. Are you still using run flat tyres? I think cracked alloys are a common problem with e90 3 series BMWs with the run flat tyres fitted.

The previous owner of my e91 330d had to replace 2 cracked rear alloys and fix the resulting damage to the suspension. I've now replaced all 4 run flats with normal tyres and it's so much nicer to drive - less crashy and no tram lining. I just have a can of puncture repair foam in the boot.

Nice ... The ISF / GSXR combo is fantastic ....

And never seen an SLS in red ... looks awesome .....

    For me ....

My cars are quite mundane currently:

We have a Scirocco 2.0 TSFI and a Mini Cooper Convertible...

    Bikes are more interesting :)

    Ducati Multistrada, 996 and 999R .....

    On Friday I took this back;

And drove away a new face lifted model. The changes are only slight, but overall make for a much more enjoyable car.

My C2S sounds like a bit of a vacuum cleaner but that will soon be rectified - this bit of finely wrought Italian craftsmanship arrived yesterday:

I should have it on the car in the next week, when it will sound like this:

No, 2.0 diesel 150bhp. It's for work, so quite a few motorway miles.

No, I didn't unfortunately. By all accounts the PSE is pretty good too. I also considered the 'Gundo' side muffler hack plus cross pipes to eliminate centre rear muffler as a much cheaper option. Gundo on its own very similar to sound of PSE I believe. In the end, I managed to land the Tubi at a good price. Normal retail is pretty stiff...

Picked this up yesterday (seller's pictures). The sun is out this morning, so top down will be all the better to hear the Nascar-like soundtrack.

Wow, that's a serious saving! I hope the servicing costs don't reflect the original price though.

She had red indicators, but in US spec.
I had to change the lamps, before registering in EU.

I know that Carrera S should have red, like the Turbo, but orange looks better IMO :)

Now she is lowered a bit, like EU models.

Thank you. What was odd was, having made an appointment to see it on Saturday, I noticed an article in the new issue of Classic Cars which came out on Friday that compared the 928 with several other eighties cars and the 928 they featured was the one we bought - spooky coincidence. Not looking forward to the fuel bills though
