I really miss these two, so they were recently added again in my collection (my second snx115, with the skx we have long history, I have sold and regret selling more than 20 times now!):

My Seikos collection now has 5 members, these two, the 777 turtle, my 495 stargate and my late father's Seiko 5. I think I haven't forgotten anything. I'm almost certain that it will grow further in the future.

I have a resist version here that I 'restored' a while ago. OEM hands sourced from Adrian, I think they are reproduction 6309 hands from Seiko, and the original seconds hand. Insert is genuine but may be a 6309/7002 insert, could be from a 7548-700B. Can't tell really but either way looks good, this might have to depart soon to gather funds for an incoming. Don't really want to let it go though as I kinda bought it back to life! :)

Beautiful. And great original strap of course. I wish they made smaller versions of those. The closest equivalent which would fit a woman's wrist is a quartz movement.
    Best regards,

I've just bought a Seiko, maybe from the 80s. Don't know much about them, does anyone know what model it is?

This SLA013J, aka Zimbe MM300 arrived yesterday.

Notably it is a TH ltd ed without the normal added cyclops that usually is a norm for these runs.
I was very negative about this model when first seeing pictures of it but I was wrong, the blue dial works so well but as with many Seiko offerings probably has to be seen IRL to be fully appreciated. Love the historical nod with incorporating the classic indices on a modern model..

New one in today, Seiko SSC513. Love the colour which changes as the light hits it, very retro feel

Plume, check out the small vintage Seiko 2205 7060, no gold hands sadly ( I had it in my head it did, but can't find one searching ) but very much in the style of the bigger brother, auto too.
Not my photo, lifted off Google.

Very nice. A mechanical version of that would be good, albeit more than I'd want to pay I suspect.

I've had many many Seiko's. Recent models and vintage. Just sold my Sarb001 lately and have only this one left.

Thanks. No not NOS, just superb used condition. I have the bracelet which is photographed in the thread somewhere. I've a rubber and a couple of plain natos (blue and black) but thought I'd add the matching colour scheme and I think it looks great.

At 39mm and with the lug profile it pretty much is perfect for my wrist. Timekeeping is +5spd too so in overall excellent shape.

I have the SKX031 and I agree the size is perfect. My own's timekeeping is +/- 2 to 3 seconds per day. Such a shame this classic is discontinued!

Unbelievable accuracy. I've got a GS which is never better than +5-7 seconds per day :)

  44. #2344
Yes, the accuracy is amazing - not sure why but it has been like that out the box since it was bought in December 2009!

  45. #2345

    Have it on today actually!

  46. #2346
I get to make my second post in this thread... I seem to have been bitten by the GS bug (help!)

Used to have this one, loved it! Then I shifted to SKX, but still I like the looks on this one better. More simple design.
