That must have been a fine moment of madness! What an awesome watch, and don't blame you at all.

I like that a lot. I think my next significant purchase might be an IWC.

Love that and also love the original Muhle Glashutte Rasmus, not the ugly monstrosity that currently claims the name of Rasmus.

That is delightful. Is the bracelet bronze?! It doesn’t look like it, but I can only see it in bronze on the Tudor website.

My first ever Seiko and now I understand! Really impressed with this one. Fantastic watch within the price range especially with the discount achievable. Although I now find I’m looking at the SLA divers to see what all the fuss is about with those :-). What a ‘hobby’ this is!

    Lovely watch.

I was looking at one in the Trafford Centre a couple of weeks ago, and was quite taken with it.

Would love to hear your thoughts after having it a couple of weeks.

I got distracted and this happened……

Evidently I have been a good boy this year as this arrived on Christmas Eve!

Ever since the Neo bridges and the Laureato skeletons were released by GP, I have been enamoured by both. Of the Neo-bridges, I found the earth to sky edition particularly suited to the theme of the watch. Dark, cool and technical. I have been debating between the neo bridges and Laureato skeleton for some time and was actually about to pull the trigger on the steel Skeleton after the New Year. However, I was offered the earth to sky Neo-bridges at a price I could not turn down a couple of weeks before Christmas and here we are!

To say I am Over the moon is an understatement. What a piece! My limited photography skills do not do it justice. The 3D architecture of the bridges are fascinating to say the least. The curves on the bridges and the beating of the escapement is mesmerising. The shimmering anglage set against the matt black PVD parts is truly beautiful. Looks like black glass when the light hits at the right angle.

At 45mm, it is a large watch and as you can see in the photos, takes it to the absolute limit of what my wrist can bear. But GP have the good sense to make the case with short and curved lugs, making the watch much more wearable.

My Laureato skeleton funding pot has taken a dive but I feel I made the right call here because of the offer I received. There is place in my collection for both but will probably to let something else go to make the Laureato happen. Will see when the time comes!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and hopefully a bit of time off with loved ones.

    BW,
    Chi Kai

A rubbish picture of my very recently acquired Speedy Pro Sapphire Sandwich, currently running at +0.3spd!
Not sure why I've never owned a Speedy before, it's great although the taper on the bracelet is taking some getting used to.
Might have to go down the rabbit hole which is putting straps on a Speedmaster...!

Happy to join! They only had black on strap in stock and thankfully that was my favourite combo. Not really sure about the bracelet and white didn't look good on me! They're also getting harder to get.

Honestly not far away from my Daytona and some of the latter's issues like sub dial height are apparent. I'm quite fortunate to own both and honestly can see myself wearing the Zenith far more.

Thanks mate! It is large and just about wearable for me. On the honeymoon period now but I can’t imagine I can wear this everyday in the long run.

The Zenith looks fantastic and very good VFM with the 1/10th of a second complication! Congrats! Wear in best of health.

Seeing them next to eachother like that the Zenith looks much more modern and fresh and the Daytona looks a little dated. IMHO of course.

Definitely feels more modern and works much better on strap so feels very different.

Maybe it'd be different comparison with the ceramic daytona, but prefer this daytona reference to the latest one.
