Well, I guess watches are like No 10 buses after all. Having outed three watches recently and thinking I could make do with the one incoming (a Hamilton Pan Europ) to tide me over for a long while, this comes up on SC. I've always had a fascination for tuning fork and spring drive movements with the smooth-moving second hand and have spent many a happy time watching videos of them. This arrived this week but I've waited until today when the leather strap arrived from Watchgecko which I thought should suit it reasonably well. The watch was supplied with an unused/unsized since new wire mesh bracelet which I've left as such.

Picked this up on Monday and been wearing ever since. My second Doublematic - the level of complexity and complications in this watch are fantastic

This is cheating a bit, but it has 'arrived' and it looks like it's new after a service at Rolex St James. It's been gone for 2 month, so pleased to have it back.

Thanks! I just love it. Can't capture the elegance of the silver dial in sunlight, it's magnificent. Definitely my favourite watch.

Nice one Jon, it looks stunning and well worth the wait. Did they polish or refinish the bezel during the service?

Picked this one up a couple of weeks ago on another forum. 2011 model, possibly one of the last 16570 produced.

Got this last night, traded with my Zenith Defy Classic.
Sad to see it goes but wasn't getting wrist time.

Love the size and fit plus it's my first ever white dial.

I've had this Seiko for about 6 months, not liking bracelets for the extra weight they add I've tried at least half a dozen straps and at last I'm happy with this £6.00 ebay offering.

That is quite an arrival! What year?

This came today, the black strap it came on was too small for me, so it’s on this for now. I do like a lot. If I could find a bracelet that would fit it I’d be super happy.

I think the contrast in styles is great, looks really good to me.

Maybe a retro beads of rice bracelet would work well?

So it’s here in the flesh, and it’s absolutely amazing. 2011 from a Chrono24 private seller, but perfect condition, papers and a perfect Timegrapher metrics to boot.

Pictures don’t do it justice, but something else in the metal

    I couldn’t be more delighted

Lovely looking watch. I've never been excited about sub-second dials but this is one of the best executions of one that I have seen.

The date guichet is exceeding well done too - really nice bevelled angles at the subdial intersection to be appreciated under a loupe.
