Damn this thread - it would seem I now have the G-Shock bug also!

I'd previously written off the idea due to these being too big, too plastic, too garish and a not really very stylish. My view has now changed. Within the space of a couple of weeks I bought a new AWG-M100, then a rather nice GW-5000 from SC and now I've just agreed on a GW-3000M. There are others on my 'want' list already.

I've no doubt that I'll keep a couple of nice stainless steel autos for 'best', but G's are a relatively inexpensive way to get my watch kicks. With so many models out there though it could be easy to get carried away!

    Damn you all!

Does that mudman have an amazing led double backlight where the whole dial including the white area lights up like a torch? - very cool!
I've been wearing my frogman all weekend and sadly it has to be the most uncomfortable watch in the history if the world, which is a bit annoying. Either too loose or too tight - it's been put away until the summer, it doesn't mix well with jumper or coat cuffs!

That's the trouble. I do really like the frogman (and it was a bargain) - as a gadget to look at it's great, and I have large enough wrists etc so it looks acceptable on the wrist - but if I'm brutally honest I don't find it any more functional (in fact in real life probably less functional) than a dw-5600. Alarm is feeble, all a bit men. But it does look cool!

I've always liked Froggies but they're just too large for me. I remember when the series was updated with the release of the even larger GWF-1000BP-1JF, all the modern functions, an appealing colour and shape. I'd really like one but it would simply look rather silly on my wrist, given these dimensions: (HxWxD) 58.3 x 52.8 x 18.0mm. Still that large size hasn't prevented many small-wristed fanciers going for it.

Two for me (though the second arrived an hour ago and will be replacing the first):

    1. GW-M5610-1ER but on the separately bought composite strap that is normally found on the negative display version:

    2. Newly arrived upgrade: MTG-1500B-1A1EF

    Happy!

Amazing! I don't think I could have faced getting rid of a collection like that.

That's a really nice shade of orange, not too bright, just right.

May I ask where it can be purchased from?

Myrwatches.com €129 and free shipping. Ordered it on Monday and it was delivered on Thursday. Good service and the euro exchange rate is good at the moment.

Wow, I love those rubies. An amusing twist on how we usually think of G-Shocks. :-)
