    Great reminder, thank you!

Any one know what the latest is on the will-they-won't-they Breaking Bad Series 6 debacle?

  7. #7
Anyone know when it will be on Sky and what channel ? I don't use Netflix or plan to

Utopia is excellent. Great show but just a shame that there won't be a third series. There will be a remake from the US at some point.

Watched Better Call Saul earlier today and it seemed pretty good. I think it could probably stand as a show in its own right without the Breaking Bad connection but its good to see the wee references and characters from that show here also.

Just watched the first episode on netflix with swmbo!

Bit of an odd one with netflix in that they're only releasing a new episode every Tuesday, where as with other shows (house of cards etc) they've dropped the full set in straight away so you can binge on it!

Will be tuning in again next week, think its going to be one of those that grows with time as the story unfolds.

I'll be watching tonight. I hooked up with Netflix last Saturday - one month free trial. Three days in now, I realize that it offers me more than HBO (which is more expensive as well).

Thought episode 1 was quite good. Started slow, I agree, but... man did it pick up at the end! Looking forward to episode 2!

I've signed up to Netflix just for this!

Love that it's got some of the BB characters appearing.

It's been a while since I watched Breaking Bad and I am trying to remember what the last scene was in which Saul appeared? Can anybody jog my memory?

I am assuming the opening of the 1st episode of Better Call Saul was set post Breaking Bad.

You could watch it on Movietube for free ;-)

We've got Netflix but I can't be doing with the substandard picture quality, downloaded and watched the first 2 episodes in 720p and they've left me hungry for more.

P.S. Did the first episode leave anyone else with a hankering for Cinnabon...?

Most definitely. They seem a bit thin in the UK

I note that they will deliver in the UK, but not to Scotland

The best we seem to be able to manage is 480p, perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

Yes! Bond street tube station here I come...

EDIT... It's not listed on that map, but I'm certain there is one in the arcade at Bond Street, opposite McDs...

Off the back of the Better Call Saul premiere Mrs. MST has ordered me 6 assorted Cinnabons as a Valentine's Day gift, who says romance is dead!

D'oh, watched first 2 in wrong order!

My son had already watched the 1st one so 2nd came up first on menu and assumed that was the 1st.

Still seemed to make sense, great start and looking forward to next instalment!

I just finished watching the first episode. Wow. Remember the slow start of BB? We're in the same pace, I think!
When Jimmy/Saul was cruising the streets, I caught myself thinking: "Can I spot of Walt's house? And: "Perhaps I see a Aztec passing by!"

How fast is your broadband? I believe you need around 20mb for 4k.

Hoping that Netflix will get to Australia soon so we can catch up with the rest of the world's viewing habits. Still watching repeats of Skippy and Neighbours on Foxtel, etc ...

    :-)

So far, so good. I agree that BB was initially a slow burner, so they're doing a similar setup here.

The first two episodes were dull. Each episode seemed to have been dragged out to 50 minutes when they should have been 25.

I'll watch the third and then decide whether to go further.

I also think the beginning of Uno is post BB, he is Omaha (at the last episode in BB he was due to be transfered in Nebraska) and he is hiding from everybody with a mustache and different hair. I think he made some funny comment in BB that he will end up like a working stiff if he is lucky (or something along those lines)

Once he turns on the TV I think he is watching the old funny commercials "Don't drink and drive, but if you do, Better call Saul" and than it goes to the time when he is just starting as a lawyer

I've now watched the first 2 episodes. It's early days, but I'm enjoying so far.

The throw backs to BB might be what's making it enjoyable? And there is a chance I might not like it as much if the connection wasn't there. That all said, this is a fan service. We demanded more. More is what we're getting.

I think it's great so far, there are echos of BB ( of course, same writers ) like most of the show is fairly lighthearted and almost comedic , that can change instantly into real gritty darkness , like the desert scene... Loving it so far..
    Cheers..

It was for a very similar reason that I taught myself how to use the likes of Torrents and Usenet during the UK's first mid-season break of Lost nearly a decade a go, harder than you might think at the time.

Soooo slooow! Just like Breaking Bad.

I just about made it through the first one, nearly turned it off during the stupid B&W bit.

They should focus less on trying to be clever with camera angles and effects, and focus more on telling a decent story.

It's a pity as I think he is a good character, but I know the show will irritate the shit out of me.

Enjoyed those 2 episodes, some typical dark humour, and the back story is building up nicely.
