I know about Nomos but any more info on the Alpina?
Nomos and Alpina with some fine machines I'd say.
And really affordable as well. (about 2600,- Euro's for the Nomos and 3900,- Euro's for the columnwheel chrono)
I for one missed those in between all the new stuff.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Alpina brand belongs to Frederique Constant. They probably also share the inhouse movements.
New column-wheel chrono based on their existing in-house movement.
Very cleverly done, and with fly-back function.

They've done a quiet and steady job revitalising the brand however, as noted, their pricing through a confused route to market is not helping their values.

Nomos, yes, absolutely lovely. But still to see a modern Alpina that I was drawn to, I'm afraid.
TBH I'm more of a watch man that a movement one however - which is probably why I'm currently wearing a quartz SMP. Though that's an in-house movement too, in a way, I suppose....
Thanks for sharing! Interesting watches and info! But these aren't cheap, IMHO. Cheap in-house is the Orients, Vostoks, etc. Thank you for these stunning watches.
Peter and Aletta Stas [ Dutch couple ] founded FC after a career with Philips Electronics and at a later stage acquired the Alpina brand.
Since then the Alpina is gaining more and more respect in the WIS-world.
No body
Nice watches both!
My latest inhouse...
