I go expensive g shock! - usually my frogman. No problem with time zones, a handy alarm and it will get a full charge of sun to stay on 'high' charge all year! (My wife hates me wearing a plastic watch in a posh restaurant, but that adds to the appeal for me when surrounded by Rolex subs!)
