In other delivery news, Yodel has apparently delivered 30kg of dry dog food at my house this morning.

    That is all.

Mr Horniman, (he's my probation officer and wears a reefer jacket called 'Roger') says I've to stop trying to make friends on the interweb or else!

My first wife's father had a Triumph Acclaim which I believe was a rebadged Honda

I borrowed it to pop round the shops for 20 Benson & Hedges in 1982

    (I stopped smoking in 1990)

Thats when he lived in Jedburgh

The best thing about the place at the time was that the pubs were open all day

It was green with beige seats and felt very pleasant to drive

Thats about all I can remember about the whole thing

The car and Jedburgh that is - my first wife is another matter, I could tell you some stories about the mad cow - like when she spent £35 on new net curtains from Heelas - it was still a week until payday and we only had £50 left in the account. And she shagged my (ex) best friend. (Sorry, last bit not inane enough)

That's astonishing, neither do I. Though one used to live next door to my dad's mum. A Colin, that is; tbh don't know if he was an uncle and he's dead now so I can't ask him. But it's still an amazing coincidence isn't it?

Buxton. That was his surname, not where my gran lived.Though it was only in the adjacent county.

If you ever find yourself in a French restaurant and there is colin on the menu, you can order it in the safe knowledge it won't be a hat or a coat or owner of a Honda; if will be hake (or possibly pollack).

Imagine going into a French restaurant and your name was Colin Pollock! Phew, could be awkward.

Just to be on the safe side, in case I were to change my name by deed poll to CP, could you tell me the name of the restaurant so that I can avoid any embarrassment?

My opposite neighbour is called Colin, as far as I know he has no interest in watches, I mean he owns one, but I think his interest stops there. His house caught fire a year ago on Wednesday, I know this as it is the wifes birthday on the 9th and it happened on her birthday last year, they have only just moved back in.

I had a friend called Colin to whom I gave a Roger Chapman album, Live at the Budokan and a Japanese import, if my memory serves me well. Colin had a 70's Laverda which he commuted on rain or shine, lovely bike although a bit temperamental.

We have neighbors on both sides, none of which are called Colin, scouse or drive Civic's though at least one pair of neighbors drink in my local and have sat in my Civic. My wife isn't scouse or called Colin either but she does drive my Civic.
