I have salt beef hash in English muffins for breakfast today, made with the leftovers from yesterday's salt beef. I made it myself and it was very nice.

I didn't have that. I had something different.

Did you warm yours up in a tumble dryer? That would be different.

I had to block the vent off as a squirrel kept stealing my bananas.

Haven't thought about colour or constuction yet, but I think I'm going to get one as they sound like a great idea.

My summer car passed the local equivalent of MOT this morning (no advisories, or 'non-conformités: neant' as they say around here). Actually, I had an appointment last week already but when I wanted to go, the battery had died. Now I have a new battery and MOT.

I will have leftover chicken for lunch, already looking forward to it.

    Talk to me about sandwiches!

Circumstances are such that I've reached a point in my life when I will be needing to acquire a sandwich in the next 2 hours. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Can you remind what they were called again, and where to get one?

I mentioned it to Doreen and she said ' What a terrific idea. What will those chaps at your wristwatch club come up with next?'

  12. #312
I still think that a tumble dryer is the way to go. For drying clothes, not as a sandwich filling.

Me too. I've just put on a cardigan and I might button it up later.

Strange place for a chicken, it should probably be put back in the coop.

Last week, I can't remember which day exactly but can check the diary if anyone needs to know, I had an exceptional chicken, mayonnaise and tarragon baguette.

I have long been aware of the transformational effects of sprinkling some dried tarragon into such a baguette, since a friend who is a chef showed me many years ago.

Has anyone else tried this? I can't overstate how nice it is.

That was the name I was looking for. I wouldn't be without one.

Well I won't be. When I've got one, that is.

You can buy them. When I found out where, now that I know what they are called, I'l let you know.

    What's your name?

A few year back I used to work close to one man show cockey sandwich shop nr Farringdon which used to do fresh chicken (bacon?) tarragon while-u-wait hand made ones with generous spoonfuls from the tray full of the Goodness, OMG! He used fresh tarragon though.

I didn't have lunch. I asked for advice from the forum for a sandwich filling but apart from a rather rude suggestion that I lack courage, none were forthcoming. So I had no choice but to go without.

It's a fine sunny day and I just did the laundry. If we only had a washing line, I could save some energy by not using the tumble dryer. Even though, I must admit I do like the fluffyness of the towels when they come out of the tumble dryer.

If you don't have some already, you simply must get yourself some tumble dryer balls.
That, along with a sheet of Bounce, does wonders to your fabrics! Changed my life.

Balls? I thought that was a watch brand? If I recall correctly, the operating manual of my tumble dryer contained a warning not to use it to dry watches. I must be mistaken...?

Ah, see you are probably getting confused with that Ball currently on SC, it's been bumped so many times you'd think it was meant for a tumble dryer!

I had two very large and spicy Romanian sausages for lunch, complete with a very nice mustard and sauteed potatoes with rosemary. Now my belly hurts, and I haven'T even looked at the cake which I intended to eat as a dessert.

I was tempted by a roast beef and horseradish sandwich.
    I chose something else.
