    A match made in heaven!

My first brand new watch for a while - Alpina Startimer.

Came on a pretty manky green leather strap - I've already told Al what I thought of it :

I had a brand new grey Rhino waiting for it. Removed one of the bottom rings - why do they supply two?? Makes all the difference as far as I'm concerned, and re-inforces the vintage credentials of this model. Great deal for a new watch. Thanks Al.

For a moment, I thought this was going to be a thread about Cilla and Daddel!😄

My mate bought one of these. The date for me looks abit strange, i hate it when they cut out like that but apart from that, looks like a solid piece with classic looks. Excellent!!

Definite improvement, but actually I thought it looked quite nice on the green.

Nice watch would prefer it on a NATO rather than a Rino strap, Eddie does a good one.

I can't get on with NATO straps, especially on larger watches. Fine for W10 or G10 watches for which they were designed, but for bigger watches, I prefer the NATO.
