In the stage of my life where my wife has suggested that I sell some of my collection to help with some of the expense of the birth of our first child. She will not be impressed when I return from work with my new purchase (she notices these things).

I decided to take a punt on Simon's Rolex 1018. I know nothing about the watch really other than it's a vintage oyster date with a explorer dial but I really liked the look of it.

I decided to have a look at for some more information on the 1018 but there isnt much out their. Anyone more knowledgeable have any information on this watch.

I have been wearing it today and it is extremely comfortable and much more attractive on life then pictures suggest. In my opinion it is a great introduction into vintage Rolex and a good price.

A quick wrist shot....
