Go on, let's see what you can do?!
I'm already wanting another watch, something very cheap this time, but nice. Maybe a lowish price G Shock? It's going to be for work which involves some manual stuff like moving cages and boxes around, but generally I'm desk based...
Help a brother out! I may go into the murkey world of eBay when the wife goes to sleep....
Go Russian. Pretty much all the Vostoks here are under £100: http://meranom.com/
Some inspiration: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...-Amphibia-mods
Momentum Cobalt Lite? Full face lume, titanium construction, cheap enough to beat about and wear everyday even at your desk under a shirt cuff and £98 on Amazon at the moment. In fact, there are plenty of 'beater' watches within their range that look rugged enough to take a few hits from a cage and come out looking no worse for it.
Under 35 quid, brand new, delivered, all in....
Orient Mako....

Another £20 gets bracelet but you get an automatic movement...day and date...
I ordered one of these on Saturday for £48.95 brand new (not from Amazon, they were £69.95):
If you keep your eyes open you can grab an skx007/9 on eBay at times from anything from 60 to 100.
..... I guess if you're lucky you could find a lot of watches that way...
Seiko SNK is a cool watch. Easily modded. Cheap at about 50 quid. The snxs79 too. Orient fem or cem, mako or bambino for a little more.

Check out J. Springs, it is a sub brand of Seiko.
I don't think it's worth buying an 007 these days for anything other than historical curiosity: you could get a used Gen 2 Monster for about the same price, for example, which has a modern hacking and handwinding movement of considerably better quality than the 7S26. The 007 was a fine watch in its day, but that day is long gone.
Save your money and get this bad boy!

Don't know. Have you tried Goldsmiths?
I guess not as at least two of us thought you meant buy a Monster instead of a 007.
I think it may have been the specific mention of the Monster that 'threw' us
In terms of movement, I'm not sure there's a LOT in it and certainly, for most uses, not enough to warrant paying extra or living with an ugly watch

I'd also suggest something Seiko and second hand. Be it a monster or 007 etc :) Fantastic value for the money, and from what i've observed, should you ever get bored with it, you won't have a very hard time selling it for what you paid.
Or you can go even cheaper and, as suggested, get a seiko 5. Countless models to chose from, and can be had new for as little as £30. I've 3 of them, and think they're cracking value.
It does - I (and at least one other person here) bought one at the now seemingly excessive price of £1.82, just to see if it would turn up at such a crazily cheap price, but it did and it worked and told the time (It's gathering dust in a drawer now, of course!), but I've no idea where the margin is at 99p!

PS Of course none of the pushers or sub-dials actually do anything, but, still, 99p!

What you meant to say then is that in your opinion the 7s26 movement has had its day.
Would that then mean that the 6105b, 6306a and 6309a movements have had their day? Which would be true, to an extent, yet they're still brilliant movements and wouldn't either way make me disregard these older models simply because the movements had since been updated. I guess it isn't obvious what your point is, bitfield. Apologies.
I bought myself a Citizen Eco-Drive BM8476-23E for around €115,-
