What's not to like?
I am a right handed right wrist wearing sort.
Word on the street is that my Mrs has bought me an Apple Watch.
A number of factors come into play here ,
I like the Apple Watch so would wear it
It's a gift so I should
I'm not going to abandon my watched
I have a spare left wrist which handily means the correct side for operating the thing is available
But double wristing looks odd - (I know cue picture of old dude wearing 6 watches)
It looked odd when I had a Fitbit on my left wrist but this is a bigger thing to wear.
Anyone here wear a watch and an Apple Watch at the same time ?

I also have a Fitbit on one wrist and watch on the other. That is about the limit of what I could wear on the 'other' wrist. An Apple Watch is similar size to a normal watch and is meant to be a substitute. Therefore it looks like you are wearing two watches and will feels like it too.
I know it's a step up in size from a Fitbit
Logically I can only wear the Apple on the left so I can operate it with right .
This leaves my normal watch wearing wrist still available.

I meant it would look and feel odd wearing (and seen to be wearing) two watches.
I can't see you comfortable wearing the Apple on one wrist and a watch on the other.
I also can't see you comfortable only wearing the Apple.
The conclusion to draw from that would be that the Apple needs returning before its too late.
Which of those three is incorrect?
I don't really see the problem - just wear both and see how you get along?
Id swap your wife.
I remember a lad in basic training, he really shouldn't have been there because, well, he wasn't all there! (mentally). He had two watches on, when an instructor barked at him about it he said that one doesn't work, "why the f*** are you still wearing it then!!?" his answer as innocent as he was; he just liked the look of it...
Sorry but wearing more than one watch only makes me think of that numpty!
It isn't a great look. Two wedding rings, two pairs of spectacles, two hats, two belts....
Nah!
Sell that Apple Watch they're useless lol
Someone wisely said "A healthy person has two arms, two legs, two eyes, two ears, etc. A similarly well-prepared individual should have two handguns also."
Two watches, no, although the Apple Watch isn't really a watch, of course, it's a computer. Incidentally, isn't there a software setting to flip the display so you can wear it on the other wrist if you want to?
Like the idea of trying the Apple Watch but wouldn't want to wear it instead of one of my usual wearers. Like it's been said, to me it's not a proper watch and just don't like the idea of wearing one on each wrist

I don't get Apple watches anyway - why would I wear a device that tells me what the phone in my pocket is doing? Now if the watch meant that I could dispense with the phone altogether, then it might become useful.
In the past I have worn a watch on each wrist.
And the strange thing is, no one has ever questioned why I am doing it!
I haven't worn 2 watches and probably wouldn't but i do wear a couple of bracelets on my other wrist.
If it's a gift then you might have to use the line of thought that it's less "a watch" and more a piece of wearable technology so wear it on the left.
Your dilemma is one of the reasons I dread people gifting me watches. There's a bit of an obligation attached isn't there.
Since you think wearing the fitbit looked odd on your left wrist, don't bother with the Apple Watch :)

A watch on each wrist, Maradona style, always appears a bit odd to me. But two on the same wrist, like Castro, looks more acceptable if you can carry it off. Astronauts look cool either way :-)
Nope.
Unless 'transporting' a watch- for trade or gift or from office to home etc.
Always makes me smile when I see it on someone else. In a fond way.
Apple watch + normal watch = nerd
I can't see it looking anything other than sad ... sorry ...
Returning it is not an immediate option as by the time I know officially it will be a long way from an Apple shop.
Rejecting returning or selling seems rather ungrateful so I think I am left with the wearing it option.
For full disclosure I got the Mrs an Apple Watch for Christmas to replace her broken Fitbit. She loves it
When we both had Fitbits I wore that on the left and watch on right and I think she wore her Fitbit next to her watch.
The day she started wearing the Apple Watch her Datejust came off and has been in the safe ever since .
Perhaps this is all part of a cunning plan to wean me off watches !

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you're a bit stuffed now, and all your nice ones have to go into a box to be replaced by a fun computer gadget that goes flat!
Well, this was what caused it, of course. Can't you bin the iPhone (which means you can then bin the iWatch)?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
I think getting son to pester wife into checking with you that you'll actually want to be given an Apple is the only other alternative?
If she wants to know why he won't shut up about it, tell him to say "intuition", as that will get her to doubt her own

It's a done deed I've seen the delivery note to an address in the UK , #1 son has been bitten by the Apple bug so he is probably keen but far too young for an iWatch.
If you never hear from me again after Sunday you know I am lost and have gone over to the dark side - light a candle and move on - I'll send you my Tangente
The distance selling law is overruled by the "Wear it you ungrateful bastard - if you know whats good for you" rule.
The Tangente was a different situation where I sent he to Wempe to meet a sales person I had already set up by email to sell her the right thing - there were some options so it was her choice. I wasn't expecting this one!
Have you decided which watch you'll wear on the final day before the Apple gets welded to your wrist?
Oh! Plan! Smash it while taking stuff out of your car boot.
I wear a Microsoft Band II and a watch. The MS Band offered pretty much all of the functionality (that I want) as the Apple watch does but does not look like a watch so I think it works
Does anyone make a pocket watch adapter for the Apple watch so it can live at the end of a chain in your shirt top pocket?
I like the second more than the first - is that a product for sale or just a custom build?
