Anyone used "Trusted House sitters" ?

Well, SWMBO and I off to sunnier climes for 6 weeks in December, but unfortunately our house sitter has just let us down. Not quite the last moment, but we are now in the position of trying to find someone to feed/muck out the horses and goats (2 of each) and spoil the cat in the manner to which he is accustomed.
Has anybody any experience of Trusted House sitters?
Whilst we would prefer someone we knew, the alternative would be put the horses in livery, and the poor old puss in a cattery.

    Hello

I'd be up to house sit someone's abode. As long as you have wi fi, a pool, models for neighbours!

    Who are Trusted House Sitters?

I would prefer friends or family to be honest but would hope that any reputable company would vet their people, CRB check them etc and have some form of insurance.

    Regards

    Ben

    Hello

On a serious note. Peace and quiet in the country or by the sea would do.

There are a few House Sitting companies that do full CRB checks etc - you'll pay for it though, especially when you start adding jobs around the house onto the services.

My Uncle used to work for one - I'd suggest him but travelling distance would probably put it out as he's in mid 70s now and on the west side of the country. I assume the company he went through are decent, I can ask him which one it was if you're interested?

We have used trusted house sitters twice so far, with another in at the moment and one planned for 3 weeks in September. No problems so far, been really straight forward to set up. They looks after our pets as well.

Sceptically, thanks, the more options the better.
Sorry, no pooI or models, got really slow Wi-Fi though.
    Good point about insurance though.
We have a good neighbour who will keep an eye on the nags, but really need someone to live in, and if they will feed and muck out so much the better. We don't expect it to be free, SWMBO needs to be reassured that her animals are looked after.

    Your local stables/riding school

Ask at the local riding schools etc
They'll be somebody happy to muck out etc

Plenty of riders and young folk trying to make a living out your way

    It's the trust thing though

Livery and cattery will be cheaper
